    Changes to Supercharging?

You're right! Annoyingly, I searched on the page for subscription without luck, but indeed it's there. So this is really just a change for non-owners. As GRiLLA and others have said - as Tesla owners, we're automatically supercharging members and get the lower prices. For non-Tesla owners...

    Changes to Supercharging?

Got the same. Interestingly, when you click learn more, it takes you to their Supercharger Support page which does not yet mention a subscription or the cost increases. Given this is in effect from tomorrow, I'm surprised (perhaps I should not be!). Will be interested to see what the...

How many people are having connectivity issues?

I’ve had the same issues for the last couple of weeks (perhaps month) after a year ownership and no real trouble with connectivity. Seeing these comments, I’ll log a ticket today too. Thanks

Once my kids spotted the standard mode renamed to sports, the game would be up! ‘Put it in standard mode!’ is something they say a lot lol

I mentioned the accidental light flash when indicating recently. I’ve gotten better at not doing this (did it once this week!), but i have to make a concerted effort to really not pull the stalk toward me even slightly. Something I forgot to mention in my write up was the voice control. I had...

Q3 collections, new owners tales and experiences

Hah, same. Will come up with a name eventually. Got back from 6 nights abroad this week, was also shocked with the battery drain from sentry mode each day. I also turned off IO after a few days incase that helped, and removed both Tesla widgets on iOS (I had one on the lock screen too showing...

Q3 collections, new owners tales and experiences

I just tried this out at 20mph, no luck. Tried it again at a standstill when about to make a turn and it worked. Turns out it’s 5mph and below to save the location (If there’s a report of a Tesla 72 plate curb crawler, it’s me having popped out at 3am to save all the folding locations while...

Q3 collections, new owners tales and experiences

I should have added wipers to my list above! (It’s sounding like a have a big list of big problems, but they’re mostly minor in reality). I’ve had only one occasion where they came on in totally dry weather, but have had a few occasions where it’s started raining enough to have the screen...

Q3 collections, new owners tales and experiences

Hah, I was thinking the same when I first read that (and I’m certain my issue of location not saving is occurring when I try whilst crawling at 5-10 mph too). But I will agree with that statement of @Sparky750 ’s, if driving down narrow, twisty lanes (again, roads I know well) with some blind...

Q3 collections, new owners tales and experiences

Actually, I am going to use the opportunity (a quiet 20mins on a Sunday morning!) to write up some things I've meant to. 1 month in, 1000 miles driven. Driving: We've come from a 2012 C-MAX. No assisted driving of any sort, no climate control etc. Like the vast majority - I can't say how much...

Q3 collections, new owners tales and experiences

Yes, I have found that, or not just a film pull and ‘click’ in the other direction, but hold also seems to work. I haven’t sat and played with this yet (to see if that works all the time, perhaps the pause is better like you said) but I’ve definitely been caught out turning off a roundabout, or...

Octopus Energy, including Intelligent and go

I’ve been starting to think about this too. I know nothing about solar or batteries (yet), but when it’s gotten to the point I mildly resent putting on the kettle during the day time, or the kids taking showers, I wonder if a small battery to charge and run some of these kinds of things off...

Thank you, I've found them at the end of the most recent bills (my first bill did not have them on, due to being on Flexible so I hadn't scrolled that far back for the next PDFs, very helpful cheers!)

Thanks, I dont have that yet. Is that in the app or site only? Odd as I’ve had a few bills now. Don’t see that chart in either yet.

Thanks, that's great, will be really good to confirm if it would charge after 5.30am in this setup. Like you, my car has almost always finished by before then, but will be good to know for the big charges occasionally. Tessie looks handy too, I was put off by there being a price, but will check...

Octopus Energy, including Intelligent and go

That sounds worth a try. I’m 99% happy with mine but am keen to find a more trusty way of not having to check after setting it running (two nights ago I plugged in after 5, the charge port flashed blue then went off, so was suspended I though, but caught it having a cheeky peak rate charge 5...

Interesting comments about the traffic speed limit changes. Did a first big drive this weekend of almost 300 miles and ran into this a few times. A 2 seconds hold sound a little annoying but will give it a go and compare to the screen sign tap and see which works best/easiest. Was a great drive...

Q3 collections, new owners tales and experiences

Yeah, thanks, I just read the comments on the previous page that I’d missed, quite clear now. That does explain why the one attempt I made at a lane change didn’t work while in auto steer 😁 again, it comes down to my misunderstanding that I (all of us) had a one month trial of EAP. Cheers ...
  21. _Dave_

Q3 collections, new owners tales and experiences

Hmm, I’ve got that totally mixed up with the premium connectivity trial I think, apologies! For some reason, I thought that what we’ve described above (lane change and navigate on auto pilot) was part of EAP not standard AP, and that only the cruise control would remain after one month. Sorry...

Q3 collections, new owners tales and experiences

I see, I didn’t know that, thank you! Will have a go tomorrow. I only worked out these past few days that the one month trial we get of EAP does not extend to Summon, I was trying to find it in the car and iOS app and googling where I was going wrong. 😂

Q3 collections, new owners tales and experiences

Interesting, I didn’t know this (the difference in having a destination set or not). Double-click down without a destination set does gives cruise control and steering assist - what do you get on top of this with a destination set and a double click down? I’ve managed some good mileage in the...

Octopus Energy, including Intelligent and go

Ah fair enough thanks @GRiLLA - I will turn it off for now. I don't really want to add in the home address as an exclusion for Sentry Mode (I believe I saw that as an option somewhere) as I would like it on at night, but it would be nice to be able to schedule Sentry mode one day.

Wiki Everything you wanted to know about Intelligent Octopus But Were Afraid To Ask

Yeah, yesterday it gave me a full 6hrs till 7am but reached the requested 80% at 4.30am and completed (again, happy it's all working and charging the car, but it was a bit odd, especially as the final slot was a huge 3-7am chunk... I'm charging tonight to 100% for the first time, so I'll see...

Octopus Energy, including Intelligent and go

We charged to 80% overnight last night, drove son to school and back (45min round trip, not just down the road), went down to 77%, just checked and it's on 74% now having been sat on the drive since 8.30am. The charger is not connected, so does that mean the IO API polling drain point is moot...

Wiki Everything you wanted to know about Intelligent Octopus But Were Afraid To Ask

Hi, a question re: IO. All has been going well with the actual charging (4 or 5 times so far). When I look at the charge stats in the Tesla app, it’s not right (and I suppose it doesn’t matter ultimately, as I know I’ve used and spent only on the 7.5p off-peak tariff, but it’d be nice to see it...

Here’s a niche question. I’ve googled and cannot find anything. Does the Spotify app allow you to set playback to other speeds? Eg; podcasts. My wife swears she saw it pop up today and used it to select 1.25x or 1.5x, but couldn’t see this again later on the way home, we then checked...

Hah, I hit my head a couple of times in the first two days (I ducked leaning into the boot and hit my head as I straightened up to move away). Finally got around to adjusting it on the end of the second day. Not sure why they set them so low? Agree on the roads / roundabouts near the place, I...

Q3 collections, new owners tales and experiences

I will say I’ve also had a few random wiper starts in dry weather (2-3) and when it was raining it was on full speed which was way over the top, so auto seems a wacky. I’m also a bit unsure if I’m dazzling drivers sometimes. I’ve got auto full beams off now, but even so, these are bright. I...

we haven’t got any width restrictions near us, but some narrow lanes and also the multi-storey/ncp car parks in nearby towns are a bit of a nightmare. Haha. Yeah I have come from a 2012 C-Max, and have had the kids with me on the test drive in May and on most of the drives so far this week, so it’s been an amazing drive already even in just Chill mode. Funnily enough, the battery has been going down a bit more rapidly than we’d have...

Q3 collections, new owners tales and experiences

So today, on day 3, I decided to take it out of Chill Mode and into Standard for a moment, for the first time, as I had a clear stretch (had just turned into the road and was not quite a standing start, but I was doing maybe 15mph when I floored it. Holy crap… I was expecting it to be more...

I’m the same with locking currently! Keep checking as u walk away then check the app if I don’t catch the noise. My wife was a bit paranoid about the cards being cloned (or is this only ‘possible’ with the optional fob?) so have enabled the pin to drive today.

I’m quite amazed at how little I use the brake! I’m on day three and I have stopped reaching for the gearbox, handbrake and keys! I had a go at AP today and it went well. Also, on the school run the screen locked up when I parked. Hard to do a restart.

I was just wondering the same! ^ My first charge on IO last night appears to have gone as planned. Wasn’t on at 6am when i checked. Had reached 85% the number I’d set in the Tesla app. Just not following the costing part yet! Not found that screen on the Octopus app yet
  42. _Dave_

Octopus Energy, including Intelligent and go

Thanks. Yeah it took about 30mins to show up in the end. I only chose an 11.30pm start as that’s when the cheap rate starts, they’ve given me a schedule from 12.30 so I can change it tomorrow? I had heard it was best to go with 80% limit on charges for daily use, and 100% for longer trips. Or...

Hi all, sorry for the question. First time using this as IO (and only second day charging overall!). I’ve plugged my Tesla wall charger in. Because I am scheduled on the Tesla app to not start charging before 11.30pm, it’s ofcourse not yet charging. In the Octopus app, I don’t have a schedule...

I set the switch in motion from Go to IO about 9pm last night (having the car now). Did a test charge and that was that. Had an email at 9am confirming I’m on IO. Ok, to add to that, on collection; 6 miles on the clock 52% battery Software v2022.15.103 I have my mats in now - looks like it’d work laying on top of the existing ones. All good for this morning’s collection! I don’t really have any pics of mine, but it’s as you’d expect. It was not cleaned, but considering the drive home and rain coming I’m really not too bothered about that. No scratches or scuffs, or misalignment. Did 90% of the check list app, and all...
