Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
I apologize for the pedantry, but I could not resist intervening here. Neither "quantum leap" nor "head over heels" are oxymorons. An oxymoron refers to the pairing of two words or terms that are in opposition to one another when separated, yet when paired somehow make sense; it is engaging...
A brake check is an alert to the driver behind you to take caution and slow down. Most drivers will do so and carry on with their day. Other drivers… not so much. For some of those, being brake checked is a significant emotional event that demands response.
It is no joy to be on the wrong...
But tapping the brake may have unintended consequences whether using AP/FSD or FSD Beta.
But to the point of the original post, automatically transitioning to TACC can be hazardous.
I have installed Tezlab and TeslaFi concurrently and my vehicle can and does sustain long periods of sleep, sometimes for many hours (e.g., 36 hours). Tezlab supports a sleep mode if you have need to access the app whilst my vehicle sleeps.
I never was assessed for unsafe following when using Autopilot. Are you mistaking TACC for Autopilot? Was the blue steering wheel icon visible during your AP highway drives?
I believe you, but I cannot think of an American manufactured automobile with the signal stock not on the left-hand side. So, please, name same makes worth the signal stalk on the right-side.

Does the Safety Score metric collection cease when you opt out or does it continue collecting data although hiding the score? In other words, it still tracks you but it just does not display the results until reactivated.
You have the option to take or leave the Safety Score option. If memory serves, California drivers with Tesla Insurance are not required to install and use the Safety Score feature. Tesla Insurance may require non-California customers to utilize the Safety Score feature.
@FAS3 The app is notifying the user that for the best phone key experience, keep the app running in the background. It is not a warning. It is just a notification. That is it, full stop. Tesla does not believe the app must be left running, but it wants you to know that phone key is not...
I have had that problem. Quit the Tesla app (i.e., do not just put it in the background, quit the application) and restart. It works for me after doing that. By the way, the accuracy problem that I have seen on occasion is the app's map shows my last and not my current location.
Or Tesla is waiting to merge whatever progress they have for FSD Beta to 10.12.x.n, or whatever the latest and greatest iteration of 10 they are developing. Just a casual observation, but there must be a fair amount of change between versions 4.5.21 and 12.3.5. I would think the current beta...
I purchased FSD because I believe this feature will improve the automotive experience. Although I am not a beta tester, I enjoy and do use all the listed features.
Allow me first to show some much needed love for Summon. I use it every time I exit or enter my rural driveway, which is guarded...
