Picked my car up today. VIN 274xxx. No matrix / global light

Picked mine up today 274xxx M3LR. Not on the Global Headlight

Went from 14 -> 10. Then the day after I got my 10 I got my VIN that night or so.

I looked at the source code, but there is a MVPA that showed up under the Order Agreement that showed the VIN in a Price Sheet PDF as well. Got the appointment text today as well.

Got my VIN assigned tonight! VIN is 274xxx.

Got my VIN assigned tonight for Richmond BC.

3 days out from my June 3 - July 1 window. No movement at all 🥲

Im a week and a half out from my delivery window without an update. 😫

Even if that is what Tesla wants to do in the future. You are paying for what you are getting now and what's in the car. There is no guarantee Tesla will ever upgrade you to new hardware. By that point, you might as well buy a new car.

Still find it strange. Elon wants everyone to stop driving eventually and hop on the FSD train. Increasing the price will never get him that.

Wonder if that is why my EDD hasnt moved for the Richmond location. More cars can not be delivered when the cars sitting on the lot is sitting around awaiting delivery…

Well like most organizations, it just takes time...and we're rarely privy to the plan and what is happening and not happening behind the scenes... It's always the case where we want things now or faster.... that rarely happens.

Passed by the Tesla Dealership in Richmond today since I was at Costco. The lot was full of new Model 3s out back...

I wonder if the Matrix “Global” Headlight is actually supplied by Shanghai and the shortage and the switch to the old style coincided with the lack or supply of the assembly coming from China. Since people stopped receiving volume of VINs during this period…might be possible they were switching...

Did you ask your SA about the Headlights for the Canadian bound vehicles?

I texted my SA. They said they won't know until the vehicle is on the lot. The VIN won't give them enough information.

Think the demand is higher in the biggest metro areas, so almost any combination will have a long wait time at this point.
