@T-J- Are you keeping your Cabin Overheat Protection on? I'm on the central coast in california so not hot by any means compared to your area, but mine hit 118 F this afternoon so I turned it back on just incase. Getting tint on back half (full back glass) on Friday so that may help.

Picked up with 2 miles :]. Michellin tires, matrix headlights and everything else that should have come with it. No damage. No panel gaps. Etc. Few swirls in paint but typical with a new car.

Just confirmed my delivery for tomorrow at 4:30! The SA that has been helping me after I got my VIN has been super helpful but said he couldn't find out whether or not it had Matrix vs. Premium headlights. Either way I'll accept so I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

13-17. They don’t do deliveries on Mondays so hoping for Tuesday. Its in transit now and its about a 1-2 day transport/prep.

Haha 95% is highway driving. FSD would be a waste of money in my opinion. I tried FSD on a 2022 and it completely cut someone off during a lane change. Honestly I just want Autopilot for steering, etc. on the highway :).

Haha the drive is pretty long, but luckily all highway driving (not busy either). I listen to audio books so i'm sure it'll be fairly easy. The industry i'm in doesn't have many director level positions in my area so I had to venture out a bit.

Haha nahh. Accepted a job at a college nearby. The drive isn't bad. Very little traffic and 99% highway miles. Plus with a tesla and solar at home I won't be paying anything.

Well I was slightly wrong. Windshield is a 4” strip on top, but you can tint the passenger and driver front windows with 70% legally since the windows are already at a 70% visibility from factory.

Oh wow! In CA we can go as dark as we want for all back windows, but front three are limited to 70%

Hard to tell from the pics, but with 20% can you see in during the day? I would assume if you're up close you could see a bit, but my goal is no visibility in for the most part without going limo.

It seems they do this every quarter. During the second month they push the East Coast up to a certain point (in this case getting close to April OD orders), and then the third month they heavily push West Coast (in this case probably mid to late March if not into April). I'm at 3/6 OD and today...

I haven't received a vin yet, but am hoping to receive one soon. Most likely thought I will receive a vin either next week or the following week...

They deliver the vehicle with a truck. They don’t actually drive it to you. You can still deny the vehicle if you find defects, but you just have to contact them (I believe), and they’ll pick it back up.

More importantly..... can he make this 13th EDD fit in his signature??? Records are being broken here.

Yup. I’ve always used the stock mats (California so no mud, etc.), but i’ve always hated getting dirt, rocks, etc in-between and underneath them. The Taptes ones appear to solve that issue and were cheap :).

Teslas have to be lifted a certain way to avoid damaging the batteries. Jack pucks allow you/shops to lift your Tesla the proper way.

From videos I saw they appear to be identical to the 3DMaxpider ones and in some cases even better. I have the taptes ones in a box in our spare room until the car comes and they seem good quality.

Make sure you thoroughly inspect the car. Someone may have denied it for personal reasons or it could be a defect. Otherwise congrats!

I think you have like 24 or 48 hours (I think it's 48-72 actually) to report any issues with the vehicle after taking delivery. First I've heard of any mileage rule though.

He even reached out to me at one point and said "I am still looking for a car for you and should have one in April (this was in March). Like why even reach out unless you found me a car. Not odd at all. Your vehicle is in transit to the location and they give themselves a day or so to inspect it, clean it, etc.

I think one issue we're running into is that they're mass shipping to mid-states/East Coast. I have a feeling West Coast will be in June at this point (hopefully first or second week). I had one Tesla rep tell me over the phone during the end of the first quarter that he was seeing a potential...

Hopefully yours is sooner (end of June Q2 push), but most have to wait like 75+ days before VIN assignment recently.

Got the automated trade in text this morning. My 4 week window still stands at 05/21-06/18. Based on everything that I've seen, the trade in text means nothing, but I hope it means VIN soon.... Update: Either my SA or another SA responded saying that I was close and that they'd mark my account...

Easier method for source code is search for insurancef . Your vin should be displayed after it I think if you have one.

I’m coming up on my 4 week window in a bit as well. 0 updates. My SA gives me generic answers. Keeps trying to promise that “i’ll have a vehicle before my EDD” (I keep laughing him off).

You would likely get pushed back a few months. You are better off just waiting it out. I can't see them taking more than another week or two depending on your location. They are probably just waiting for the ECU or something else.
