I had both my "Ts" wrapped. Took 5 min and was about $5.00 each, so far have been unscathed in a year and a half. Of course I had other items done too (door pulls, etc)
Best yet for nearly anything that electronic falls into water: Put it into pure water, RO, distilled, ultra pure water. It needs to be pure H2O, no minerals. Thats how your boards were made in the beginning.

I accidentally ran low due to high speed, hills and unexpected wind. Made it to Barstow with 0 (zero). That was EXTREME range anxiety, a terrible sickness. From the stop light to the supercharger I was a real balloon foot.
I may be the only oddball here (but I'm old) but I would trade my P85D for an S70 (non-D) with all the toys I have now. I love the auto-pilot.

You sound like a Marine... Can't help you with first part, but where you live and commute, forget the HOV stickers. You've got more financials to worry about

Cars and Coffee is back but now at the OC Fairgrounds. I was there with my slightly modified P85D. Will be showing at La Cresenta this Saturday 6AM to 8 AM
When would you want a P-85D in Pearl While, tan leather, upgrade audio, no Pano roof. Never flogged, never left out at nite, never eaten or smoked in and NEVER been on a dirt road. Make me an offer. This car INSANE nice, delivered on Dec 30, 2014
I know many will top this: my first car was a '39 Ford couple that I drove to HS in the '50's. When I got back from Korea I got a '53 Chevy with Powerglide, a terrible 2 speed auto. Its a long way up to my P-85D.

My lady friend won $475 at Primm while I was Superchargeing so she bought dinner at Barstow on the way south. Should we split it with Tesla for putting the SC at a great place?
Drove the highways/freeways from Los Angeles to Indio for years starting in 1958. Saw the desert grow into major commercial and industrial area plus all the fan farms. The winds were never fun when they did hit, but speed limits were much lower back then. The blowing sand was disasterous for...
Been there twice already, was the hit of Needles both times, made a lot of new best friends. Very handy for Barstow to Lake Havasu City. And best of all: a DQ. (Look at those gas prices!)
I've done the up and down the 5, no problems, the 15 from Rancho to Las Vegas, had a bit of anxiety of way back (operator error), did the Barstow to Needles twice and encountered my first head wind. That was terrorfying! Will check weather and plan better on next day trip
Could it be we call it that because on the left side of the trunk is says "Model S" and on the right side of the trunk is says "P 85 D" or other designation? Just wondering...
Agree with 3s above, it must be laser. Saw a video of laser headlites (either Audi or BMW) they are fantastic. I'd be a retro to laser in a nano-second
I at first read it as Santa Clarita! Too bad, I was going to be there for the annual brush fire and/or earthquake, which ever they decide to have that week-end. Might be a good idea to keep on going north anyway...
Las Vegas to LA is really easy now: Primm, Barstow, Rancho Cucamonga. Up the central state is also easy. I even used Needles, CA and Quartsite AZ recently. I've never had a wait at any SC...
Yes, approximately 5 years ago, Jeep Grand Cherokee. Southbound only, rarely stopped never searched. But would never do again, checked off the bucket list. Killed some bait, ate some great food and flew home. Regardless of warranty opinion, I wouldn't take a Tesla there for any reason.
At Fontana Speedway a few weeks ago, I gave that Mustang about a 5 car jump as I slept at the green light. At 60' he had me by 1.619 to 1.682, at 1/8th mile he was going 84.34 to my 91.72 and finally I had him at 11.736 to 12.375. I went 112.44 to his 102.23. Strangely, at that speed, my...
yobig, I also had a Sundancer, but a 36. Too big to haul around so slipped it. No need to buy a truck. Had a lot of fun with it, but very slow and a gas hog. Great for week-end getaways.
However our marina has a dirt parking lot, so can't take Tesla there.

That's really great calculations. Therefore, with the normal speed of 78 between Victorville and Las Vegas, you could hop over either Barstow or Primm. Cajon can be tough depending on time of day and construction
Lake Powell is probably the most beautiful lake in the world, have boated thousands of miles on it over the years. Will be tracking this new Superchargers with great interest.

The Service Adviser at the Costa Mesa Service Center allowed me to take the showroom display out to my car to see how it would look installed. The one small panel in piano black is not a big deal either flipped open or closed. The flat black body of the console matches well. Since my...
Strange, when I had an S-85, got challenged all the time: on-ramps, freeways and occasional street. Now that I have a P-85D have never been challenged, and in fact am driving slower than ever (but smuggly).
I think R2B followed the old proverb: When all else fails, read the instructions. That was a great reminder, I've only used one half the potential of my new cruise control. Need to spend more time in my garage, reading.

After only 1 day of experience, they work exceptionally well and I really like that I don't come up behind anyone and hit them in the rear mirrors.
