Not from Tesla unfortunately. But there is a new third-party option available, at least for 3-phase networks like in Europe or Asia: Juice Booster 2 - YouTube

    CHAdeMO Adapter Price and Necessity

It may not be that big if a difference in Europe though. The usual public charger is 22 kW over here. And most public CHAdeMO even only provide 20kW. But I had to get it nevertheless, just in case they build more 50kW CHAdeMO. :-)

    Wiki Mobile Charger Comparison

Oh ok, now I get the question: What you are saying is that since its a wall-mounted connector it doesn't have a plug at all. No I haven't read anybody to add a plug, probably because it would not be very handy to carry with you (it has something like 12 times the volume of the Tesla UMC!) and...

    Wiki Mobile Charger Comparison

Chargers in the wiki Table: - all three are portable ("mobile") - features: see wiki table I now own both the Tesla UMC and the Juice Booster. Both do their Job just fine, but the Tesla UMC is astonishingly elegant and compact (feels like 5 times more compact than the Juice Booster which is...

What Swag did Tesla give you at delivery?

No swag in Switzerland last May unfortunately. They even had to clarify which car they are supposed to deliver. :-) But I didn't mind, was just very happy I finally got hold of the most awsome car ever. (edit: actually, they gave me two neoprene keyfob covers. Maybe that's not standard?)

3-phase 32 amp recharge for model S with dual chargers

There are plenty of threads on this topic in the German Forums. Seems to work fine since Firmware 6.0 as long as the current doesn't go below 6 amps. e.g. TFF Forum - Tesla Fahrer und Freunde Laden mit Photovoltaik Btw. 3-phase AC with 32 amps works fine with the dual charger. Popular wall...

Sure, will add that to the overview. Thanks for the suggestion. In the meantime, check the time/distance graph. If you point the mouse over the first plateau (charging), you'll see the value you are looking for.

Just learned the Soul EV actually has a 30kWh battery, they just state the usable capacity in the specs (Nissan lists the theoretical capacity). Maybe you want to take a closer look at the Kia. Kia Soul EV : Testberichte - Kia Soul EV Seite 3 | Elektroauto Forum Data is now adjusted in...

    Electric Cars: Comparison Page

@PeteCH: the hint with allowing to enter the values manually has actually a few additional benefits: with this one, I can refresh the graph pretty much "real time" since the value changes relatively slowly compared to moving the sliders. Thanks again for the suggestion!

    Electric Cars: Comparison Page

Thanks for the positive feedback. Good idea... the sliders are quite difficult to use for exact values indeed. Still, the calculation results are not guaranteed to be accurate anyway, so I guess it doesn't make such a big difference if you can specify the parameters more exactly. But I'll look...

    Remote Activation of Front/Rear Defrosters

Oops, you are right. Just assumed the same, but actually you can't click them. Also, the API doc (Tesla Model S JSON API—by apiary.io) doesn't mention any defroster commands. Sorry for the wrong information.

    Remote Activation of Front/Rear Defrosters

At least this option is on the Webservice API, and you can turn on front and rear defrosters with the VisibleTesla application from your PC/Mac. So I guess it's just a matter of time until they bring it to the app as well. Edit: actually, you can't. The respective symbols are not clickable. And...

Tesla Model S - Pros vs Cons

Except it that it doesn't snore, and even more important, it doesn't fart like all the other supermodels. The only complaint could be that it has boobs a few numbers too big which makes it a bit less sporty in cornering. ;-)

Need Advice Regarding a Inventory Car or Brand New Tesla

I'd definitely prefer Autopilot to Air ride. There are much more possibilities in the future with software updates if you have the sensor arrays. Air ride is nice, but the difference in standard height compared to coils is only just barely noticable. And at least for me I use standard 99% of the...

    Is anyone paying these prices???

They are a bargain actually if you compare to used Teslas in Norway. It has become less dramatic now, but there they used to be 30% more expensive than new. The reason is quite simple: if you order a new car you wait 5 months. The used one can be driven home right away.

Please Stop Me from spending $$$$ on the Exterior

For me it was a bit of a trade off... getting the paint treated means the worries about chips will be a bit less. But on the other hand: what happens if you get a real scratch: just polishing it away won't be that easy because there is an additional special layer on the paint. Also, after 10...

Does the range ever go up during regenerative braking?

Ok, as a summary: That means you need to regen at full power (60kW) for a full minute to see the effect on your range. (or 30kW for two minutes without interruption). It probably won't even be enough regen when slowing down from 210km/h because that doesn't take a minute on a flat stretch.

Does the range ever go up during regenerative braking?

On mountain top (after somewhat aggressively zipping around the corners :-), and after going down about 800m (9km drive) With metric setting it does 5km steps while regen charging, which would match the 3mi jumps mentioned earlier.

    Wiki Mobile Charger Comparison

It is recommended to use an FI type B because otherwise the car could render the FI of your house temporarily useless. This seems to be especially important if you have a Renault Zoe which seem to be prone to such a problem. Not so much with the Tesla. Since I am no electrician I don't have a...

Why more superchargers alone can't prevent overcrowding

Focusing on those 2-5% of trips and thinking highly speculatively you certainly have a point and explain it with nicely calculated examples. Still, if my task was to choose a new SC site, I'd simply take a quick peek at the current usage stats (peak usage of course) and decide if more stalls...

Why more superchargers alone can't prevent overcrowding

Well in that case, I guess we are completely in line. Sorry for my "accusation". But I still believe your original post of this very thread implies recharging habits similar to refueling. Maybe it's just me reading incorrectly between the lines. If so, please ignore my answer.

Why more superchargers alone can't prevent overcrowding

+1 Guess this was the first post which pointed out the main flaw of the otherwise nicely calculated OP: The OP is assuming the recharging habits are similar to the old pattern of refueling while in reality it's completely different. To fix the analogies: - you don't usually go to a...

Has anyone willingly returned to the ICE-age?

Two weeks ago I drove quite aggressively and somewhat over the speed limit from Flums village (456m) to their ski resort (1400m). Floored it after every corner (there are quite a number) and had a huge grin every time. Real distance is 10km. It took 45km of range on the way up. But going down...

Has anyone willingly returned to the ICE-age?

Was on a winding mountain road last weekend and had a tuned Mitsubishi EVO 7 in front of me on the way up. Oh my god was this thing slow compared to my MS. Incredible how quickly they lose power from 1000m above sea Level and up. No way will I ever go back to ICE!

To Do List While Waiting For Your Model S

Similar with my order, but asked for a few weeks later delivery because I'll be in vacation. Really weird, especially since the sales guy assured me they have...
