Cargo cover not as good as expected

It just seems so half assed to have to do that as opposed something that is property designed.

Cargo cover not as good as expected

Mine 2023 Austin built came with one that only does the Z fold. It is super clumsy and and hard to use as it doesn't like to stay in the Z position and there's nothing to really hold it that way. The one that folds 4 times seems better and I want to exchange mine for that version if at all...

Model 3 SR+ LFP Battery Range, Degradation, etc Discussion

    10k miles update...displayed range went from 272 to 267.

Model 3 SR+ LFP Battery Range, Degradation, etc Discussion

Data point, 5000 miles and just lost 2nd mile 272 when new to 270 now. Fully charge every night level 2, minimal supercharger use.

Model 3 SR+ LFP Battery Range, Degradation, etc Discussion

A point of reference. 2022 LFP model 3 charged to 100% every night has range go from 272 to 271 after 3500 miles.

Contemplating about switching MY LR order to MYP

I have an order for MYLR at the old price. Only thing preventing me some changing the order is the hassle of selling the 21 inch wheels then buying a set of 19's. The 21 inchers are too rough for me on LA streets.

2022MY AWD SR+ with 4680 At Cyber Rodeo

People are saying its 4680 cells. LFP would make sense considering the range and weight but its built at Texas which is supposed to go 4680 from the get go.

2022MY AWD SR+ with 4680 At Cyber Rodeo

Well that's what they were saying at battery day right? Overall a 16% increase in range from increased energy density and decrease overall weight?? Did I miss something?
  9. B

2022MY AWD SR+ with 4680 At Cyber Rodeo

This is highly disappointing if true. The efficiency of the SR+ Model Y that was submitted to the EPA has same energy consumption almost as the Model Y AWD LR. You would think with lighter batteries, less of them and new castings, they cars would gain in energy efficiency.

Range on road trip much lower than expected (<200 miles on full charge)

Man...I'm averaging about 232 wi/mi in my Model 3 RWD in SoCal. Its crazy to see these drastically different numbers coming out of the colder states. I guess these cars were designed and meant to be driven in CA only.

2022 Model 3 RWD, less than 3,000 miles, SoCal

Just sold it this morning but just for clarification, the price now is 47K plus destination and tax which is about 52K out the door. Also that is a July to September delivery date. I was asking 51K for a practical brand new car with PPF and ceramic tint (3000+). I would of course list the sale...

2022 Model 3 RWD, less than 3,000 miles, SoCal

I have a 2022 Model 3 (1/22/22 build date) in White with black interior. PPF done on full front and sideskirt with Stek. Stek ceramic tint as well. Lots of little doodads added like trays and full mats from Tesmanian. Has all the newest updates like matrix lights, ryzen, heated steering and...

DONE! Upgraded from MYLR to MYP and kept the December pricing and bumped delivery up to June.

Edit Design without affecting price now?

I didn't go back and read through everything but my MYLR got pushed to January from August and I got the december price. Can I now upgrade to a MYP at the old price? Will it speed up delivery?

Thinking about selling my modded MYP, may need niche buyer. Advice

Not too many people will be interested in a lifted model y with big rims and skinny tires. The setup makes no sense lol

Model 3 SR+ LFP Battery Range, Degradation, etc Discussion

Yeah I'm average 223 wi/mi over 3000 miles driven on my 2022 LFP, mostly 70-80 on freeway. I'm really having a hard time justifying trading up to a model y LR and seeing that effiency dip to 300+. Commuting in SoCal (ie traffic) i'm actually beating the 272 range estimate and getting 280+

    Inflationary Price Increase coming?

Even Manchin supports the EV portion of the bill so there is still hope.

    Inflationary Price Increase coming?

I'm really counting my blessings these days. Order a SR+ last year in september for 39k after a buddy convinced me that standard range was all I needed. I figured with the coming federal rebate (hopefully still coming), that I was out of pocket no more than 30K after state and local rebates as...

    Inflationary Price Increase coming?

Imagine if the bill does pass for 2022 tax year, meaning you would get 8000 on top of the 6k discount.

MYLR, grey standard everything else. Ordered 1/2/22, delivery got moved up to a August from December. Burbank.

    New Base Model Y?

If you look at a side by side comparison between the Model Y AWD, RWD and LR, you will see that the charging time listed are 9.4, 8 and 11.5. The charge time for the model 3 LFP 60 KWH is listed at 10.4. Based on that info, the new AWD Model Y would have to have a battery pack that is like 10%...

    New Base Model Y?

4680 would mean a very small battery capacity if the advertised gains of 4680 and structural battery are to be believed, which makes no sense. A LFP also doesn't really make sense based on the charging speed listed on the EPA site. My bet is a 70kwh pack in 2170 that's the new "standard" model.

Model 3 SR+ LFP Battery Range, Degradation, etc Discussion

The efficiency of my LFP battery and ability to charge to 100% has me questioning whether or not I want to upgrade to a Model Y LR in December. In sunny California, setting autopilot to 70-75, I’m regularly beating my 273 range estimate. I’ve never seen this in my old 2018 model 3 LR nor my...

Model 3 SR+ LFP Battery Range, Degradation, etc Discussion

Went on a longer trip with a 2022 LFP with AMD. Ended the trip with 30 miles of range remaining having traveled close to 200 miles. I think these are great results considering that I was traveling 75-90 the entire time and had sentry mode on at our friend's place. Lifetime average is about 220...

Picked up my Tesla in early December, worst car I've ever owned.

Yeah something wrong with that car. Those efficiency numbers are atrocious.

Model 3 SR+ LFP Battery Range, Degradation, etc Discussion

I’m frankly amazed by LFP 2022 with ryzen efficiency. Drove to work and got 193 wh/m. Dropped to 220 when going home with spirited drive through Malibu canyon but still good compared to what I’ve seen in nca model 3 and S. Hopefully degradation is much less as well.

Some 2022 Model Ys shipping with MCU3 (AMD Ryzen)

Not sure about which date definitely gets the new chip but I have it from a very reliable source that once they switch the production line over, they will all be using the new part. However, Model Y and Model 3 are not on the same line, I'm not sure if RWD and AWD are as well or they may even...
