Yes, only applies to high beam, we had it on a Porsche and it worked amazingly well, never took the car off high beam and never once got flashed by oncoming traffic in either the UK or mainland Europe.
Looking at the inventory stock the price for one similar to what we ordered is £15k more than our order agreement. I don't think that 3 years supercharging would come close to making up for this (ignoring the inconvenience of LHD). I can't see LHD being desirable at resale. Looks like we'll be...
Got back yesterday on <10%, made sure all scheduling was off at the location in the car and charge limit for not car and OE set to 80%. Got a charge schedule from 16:00 - 08:30 (leave time) and left it. This morning the car charged all that time continuously without issue and is on 53% this...
That explains it. I’ve never seen any on there before. And the name “Location” suggests no more functionality than showing where your car is, so never dig further as I know where my car is.
Thanks. I really do wish Tesla would offer this data in the app or website for when you can’t get to the car.
Edit: just found in the app “Location”. Only been 2 years of Tesla driving to discover that! Thought that button only showed you where the car was.
“Find Us” on the Tesla website is showing Heston M4 Eastbound as available. Can anyone confirm please. We’re in a right spot after OE turned off our charging overnight.
Yes, same here. My problems started this week. Plugged in last night with 50%, need car for long trip today so everything set to 100%. OE gave me a charge schedule from 8pm to 8:30am. Just checked and it turned off after 6 minutes. Every time it try and start charge it’s turned back off. So now...
Just noticed it’s turned off again after 6 minutes. Checked the charge schedule and we are still in a scheduled window. I’ve manually started it from the car now to see what happens.
Has anyone else had issues with IO not charging?
We got a schedule last night as usual, car was on 60% when plugged in and this morning had only charged for about 9 minutes according to teslafi.
I’ve just forced a new schedule this morning by adjusting to 100% charge, it’s given a new schedule...
Yes. Which is where I originally got the idea to set the car not to charge before 23:30 and it works fine. I only commented because of some other comment about doing this it not being in the spirit of the tariff. I’m simply pointing out it has to work both ways.
Why should I? They are supposed to turn off and they are not, costing me money. I want convenience not have to manually remember to do something every time I plug in.
Surely it’s not unreasonable to ask that IO provide what they say they will. If we are expected to stop charging every time we...
Agreed. However, the point of the tariff is also for them to turn the car off when first plugged in. Which is not reliable. Yesterday we plugged in at 17:00, I happened to check at 22:00 and the car had been charging 5 hours at peak rate. So until the “point of the tariff” is reliable from their...
How long have you been signed up?
When we were first switched a week or so ago we were not getting any schedules, the only way I could get one was by switching off and back on the scheduled charging in the OE app as recommended above. This was with the car being consistently plugged in at 09:00...
Just got our first bill following the switch, although we were only on it for 4 days it was very useful, you get an average cost for all kWh used (in our case 27p), so you can quickly see if you are better off on the tariff (we were not sure). You also get a breakdown per day with a chart...
Yea. I’ve spent the day doing that pull-down thing to no avail. The turn off and on scheduled charging in IO sorts it. I’m not convinced there’s anything to get the hang of. It just needs to do what it says it’s doing, which it is not. No schedule being created without manually tuning on and off...
Many thanks - it's been 7 hours of the car plugged in and no schedule... and I am about to do the evening school run. I tried your trick and it worked, so clearly something is amiss here - IO does not seem to be identifying when the car is plugged in. I am starting to think just ignore their...
How long does it usually take for OE to come up with a schedule?
Yesterday it did nothing after the school run at 09:00 when it was plugged back in, I noticed it adding schedules later in the day but when we did the second school run in the evening and plugged in about 18:30. The schedule...
It's our first couple of days with intelligent, it did the first scheduled charging overnight and recorded 22kWh in the Octopus app (nice saving already). We did the school run and brought it back then plugged in as advised. The car started charging as "normal". The OE app is showing "A charging...
Finally managed to connect our car to OE following the API update. It’s done it’s test and has given us a schedule or 19:06 - 08:00. Does this mean we are on low tariff all that time? Wondering if this is a first charge thing?
Edit: we’re just using 3pin charger that came with the car.
We've been using the supplied charger with an outdoor 3pin for 18 months and 2 cars - we do 20k a year, mainly charging at home. Initially I was going to install a "proper charger" but could not find anyone to install at the time as everyone in the world seemed to want one. Glad now, I just...
Ditto - that's why we're waiting for the X too (although there are other things we don't love but can live with it). That said as I understand it there is revised suspension in the US on the Y so maybe that will improve things. The current setup is unforgivable for a car in this price bracket.
Same email just arrived here - Model X Plaid reserved with price of £115k October 2021. When everything started changing it felt like a little victory as I was under the impression they honored those prices. So if the price goes up... Taycan here I come...
30%, similar destination to you. Possibly could have got home, but no power at home ironically, we're always the first to lose power and last to get it resolved whenever the wind blows, or lightning strikes.
Would never have made it. Probably wound up the others queuing when I put our Y on charge, jumped out and put our 3 on charge while my wife took the toddler to the services!
Anyone know where they’ve hidden the parcel shelf, is there some clever hideaway?
Madness at Fleet, I feel for existing Tesla owners stuck in this. Car came with 32%. Tesla servic guys here helping queueing now.
Just joining the room - ordered an X Plaid back in October on the off chance it arrives when our (yet to arrive) Y is due for replacement and assuming there are still the tax benefits to be had.
Indeed - this is the one we were most interested in. Drove past on Sunday and noticed a few lorries parked up with what looked quite a permanent position (rather than stopping for a break), they looked to have green transformers on the back of them. It was a glance as we went past so likely...
I'm not entirely sure the difference it makes, surely it more depends on the company tax year end for the business not the personal tax (6th April) as it's only a bit of BIK if you take it before the 6th April?
Probably turned off when at home address. We have that set because I kept walking off to unlock the house and the car would be lock before I'd had a chance to unload it.
