Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
I just picked up my MYLR7 from the Norfolk location and had a really good experience. In and out within 25 minutes, and that was with me inspecting the car the majority of the time. No issues found, very happy with the build and cleanliness of the car.
Best of luck to everyone awaiting for...
Delivery day was today for my Fremont built MYLR7. Compared to a couple other deliveries I saw where they basically picked up their keys and left, I inspected mine pretty thoroughly. My SA gladly allowed me to inspect the interior before accepting delivery (YMMV for that). Overall, fantastic...
when you brought up the missing mobile connector to the SA, did they say that they'll get you one? My OD is right by yours. I'd like to make sure mine will come with a connector since that's how I'm going to charge at home...
this is normal, once the trade-in valuation is completed you can accept or reject the offer, then your order will be locked again. doesn't (shouldn't) affect your original PC date.
$5k difference between MYLR and MYP in November 2021, vs. $4k difference now.
Here's a link to a handy price history spreadsheet:

Unfortunately the deposit is nonrefundable under any circumstance. You might as well keep the order at this point since you can't get your deposit back, and when you finally get a VIN decide whether or not to cancel it then. At least you'll have a solid idea when to expect the car at that time...
That's exciting to see. With LRs slowly starting to get pumped out of Austin, that should (theoretically) help accelerate delivery times for 5 seaters.
7 seaters will probably be limited to Fremont for now till Austin ramps up more production, but that's purely a guess on my part.
Seeing all these updated EDDs around the same window makes me think a solid run of LR7s are going to be pumped out towards the end of July. That's exciting to think about!
this kind of answers both your questions-
based on posts during the recent EOQ push, you can add or remove EAP/FSD to your order at any time before delivery by contacting a SA (some may be more helpful than others) and having them change it on their end. this includes after setting up a delivery...
EAP is currently offered for half the price of FSD in Australia and NZ, so if that option is turned on in the US, it'll likely be 6k. Of course, no idea when.
It doesn't matter. When you get close to your EDD window it's common to get a text asking for trade-ins, but even that doesn't guarantee you'll be getting a VIN soon. As @Suns mentioned, as long as your order is set to cash you've effectively claimed your spot in line. The most convoluted and...
I agree with you, I don't think FSD is worth the full price based on current functionality and my personal driving habits (no long daily commutes to make full use of it). But to each their own!
Fortunately the big "Fasttrack your EDD with FSD" push doesn't seem to be as strong nowadays, but I...
based off posts I've seen a bit ago both on TMC and Reddit, if you add FSD before delivery, you'll get OD pricing which in November was $10K, vs. adding FSD after delivery which will be $12K (or potentially more). Not sure if that still holds true now, but it's something to consider for A) if so...
Glad to see the run of VIN posts, congrats to the recent VINners!
My EDD updated just now to July 12 - Aug 23, moving up 6 weeks. It doesn't mean anything, but I can't help but hope that it does.
Before the Austin and Berlin Gigafactories came online, during the first part of a new quarter Tesla produces cars that are for overseas orders first. Then towards the middle of the quarter, East Coast starts getting shipments. Deliveries then start to move west across the US, finishing with the...
I have the same exact order with OD:11/14/21, but my EDD is 7/24-9/4. Might be bc I'm east coast, so maybe it has to do with Austin ramping...who knows..
MYLR7, MSM / Black, no tow, 20"
Virginia
OD: 11/14/21
EDD: July 2022,
5/23 - 6/20,
5/9 - 6/6,
3/17 - 3/31,
Now 5/23 - 6/20 again. I guess mine didn't make the End of Quarter push.
MSM / Black, no tow, 20"
Virginia
OD: 11/14/21
EDD: Originally July 2022, then changed to 5/23 - 6/20, changed again a few weeks later to 5/9 - 6/6, and this past weekend changed to 3/17 - 3/31 for what sounds like the EOQ push.
I see here and on reddit too that a surge of LR7 orders got EDD...
So I just saw this article:
https://driveteslacanada.ca/model-y/first-giga-texas-vin-assigned-to-model-y-performance-reservation-holder-with-march-delivery-date/
Checked my EDD now, just got updated to March 17-31!!! Really hopeful it'll be an Austin build!
Based on randomly seeing others' EDDs being pushed back deep all of the sudden then being given a reasonable updated EDD soon after, I'm willing to bet you're in the same boat. Fingers crossed for you!
They might be re-arranging orders since Austin will hopefully be delivering soon, especially...
Updated today to 5/9 - 6/6
I'm ok with moving up a few weeks here and there. I'm still hoping delivery falls in Q2 for the 4680 Austin build, especially since I'm east coast.
...but if I got texted today to schedule delivery I'd take it in a heartbeat.
