Update: techs came this morning and changed the whole headlight (under warranty :) ). Not sure if the update triggered something or if it was just a coincidence, they didn't do anything to the software (that I know of, at least!).

You are correct! I wrote "headlight" meaning the light as a whole, but it's specifically the DRL that seems affected. Later I will have to check if the rest of the light works normally... (I am at work now)
