You’d provably have to call the Service advisor, or support but I don’t know whether they’d be flexible given end of the quarter/year. You might try to push on the fact that the order agreement says 3 days for delivery, but they may be strict about pickup by end of year.

The headlight laws weren’t actually officially updated yet, the wording in the infrastructure bill was that within two years the headlights regulations needed to be updated to support the adaptive headlights. So until the regulations are actually updated, we won’t get the new functionality.

You should select the specific model and configuration you are looking for. If I select the Model 3 Performance, the Estimated Delivery Date is February 2022. Different models and configurations have different EDD.

If your location says you are in Berkeley, it is still possible. I got my VIN on a Sunday, and picked up my car two days later on Tuesday.

Depends on which model and sometimes location. My wait for a long range was about 2.5 months but some others were fairly quick. You may also be able to find cars off inventory too. Standard range right now might be a bit longest wait. Performance model 3 has usually been fastest.

I got the text on 12/16 and vin on 12/19 picked up my car today 12/21, so not sure if there’s a pattern unfortunately.

Just picked up mine! The weather held up just to be sunny when I was inspecting! Only one small area by the drivers bumper where it’s a little tight but otherwise it looks good. :) this thing even with being a LR is fast!… at least fast enough for me for now.. 😀.

I’m glad to hear that at least they were willing to work with you at least a little bit on the dates. Besides one other case with an extenuating circumstance, I haven’t heard much flexibility beyond the 3 days of original offered delivery date.

I think they provide a license plate frame that is adhered by 3m tape, not screwed in. I don’t know whether they will install beforehand or they let you install it.. I’ll see what they do when I pick up my car tomorrow. It might also depend on where you are whether they install it for you or...

It’s possible you’ll get delivery. If you get a vin you can ask them to place a hold until the new year.

It may also reset pricing if you had a reservation before one of the recent pricing updates.

I just refreshed my app and it had an update saying they were making changes to my account, so I logged in via web, I have a vin now! And accepted vision agreement! Hopefully they will reach out to schedule delivery soon.

When I ordered(10/3) premium connectivity was free for 1 year for model 3 LR and Performance, and 3 months for SR+. They changed it to 3 months free for all model 3 and y’s if ordered after 10/15.

Given the fact you’re going from one tesla to another and their long lead times, I wonder if they’re also giving some flexibility on the lease end since you’re going to another Tesla and it’s hard/impossible to really perfectly plan on timing lease end of prior car to delivery of next car.
