    Auto Wipers are awful

I also wonder why this hasn't been fixed by now, it is simply dangerous to engage autopilot in winter because of the wipers going into auto (aka crazy, stupid) mode. ... I think it has something to do with the conditions in California. Wipers must not really be an important part of a car there.

Windshield washer fluid running over side window

I ordered and installed these rain guard deflectors made for model 3: They made the problem MUCH WORSE... even a quick windshield washer wipe results in total blockage of the driver window: The rain guards deflect the water right into the window, the exact opposite of what they're...

    Cold climate wipers

Really?... you automatically assume you're the only one who cleans your windshield and everyone else is lazy? I'll try the Bosch Icons. I've been using them on my other cars and they're much better than any other wipers for winter.

    Cold climate wipers

Interesting. I just found the originals too flimsy for the Ottawa snow, even the service guy admitted they get a lot of complains about the wipers.

    Custom Floormat Recommendation?

Anyone have a favourite winter floormats for Model 3? I'm looking at Tuxmat at $256 or Tesloids at $199. Thanks

    Cold climate wipers

Sorry if this has been discussed already. But I had a terrible time last winter with the original Tesla wiper blades, made for California weather. Here in Canada, we need serious wipers. I read good reviews about Bosch ICONs. Any other fellow north-polers try those? Any other recommendations...

Why choose Model 3 over Model Y if you can have more trunk space?

Agreed. Also add Model 3: prettier; Model Y: uglier.

Windshield washer fluid running over side window

Exactly!! Finally someone understands me... The wipers are a joke. And who ever wrote the software for auto wipers should come visit me... I'll teach them a lesson they won't forget!.... Even though I'm in love with my Tesla, I DREAD driving it when it's slushy/snowy outside Hopefully...

Windshield washer fluid running over side window

There's a lot of that going on in today's world

Windshield washer fluid running over side window

Bringing this thread back... Has anyone found a practical solution? Can't take it anymore, I keep having to clean off the side window, it gets totally blocked with salt and smudge from the windshield wipers. Does Tesla know about this design flaw?

Anyone else dislike the new UI?

I've been reading all the hate posts for the new UI (I'm one of the contributors) and being a UI developer I understand the challenge of satisfying all user needs. Car UI is especially challenging, the priorities for users are different based on where they live, the climate, daily routines...

Sorry, I actually like the new UI :)

In the old UI, the bottom toolbar had an icon for wiper controls (if I remember right). So one click away. Now you have to do the push on the left stack just to get to the wiper control menu, that extra wipe may mean The End if you're windshield is already half covered in salt.

    OMG.... Thank you! Thank you!😇

Sorry, I actually like the new UI :)

Really what they should have done is allow the right side of the screen to be divided in two sections. At the top you'd keep your navigation map, and at bottom you keep the Controls menu. That way you have quick access to essential buttons, like wipers, lights, seat warmers, .... All the stuff...

Sorry, I actually like the new UI :)

My biggest issue is the wiper control. Here in Canada, driving in snow, freezing rain, and salt-mixed slush, you literally do not have the time to tap down with your left hand, then find a tiny button on a touch-screen and press on it with your right hand just to turn the damn auto-wiper mode...

    Wipers won't freaking stop

Auto wipe program really sucks on my Model 3 2021. Just picked it up, 3 weeks ago, we've had nothing but rain and snow up here in Ottawa. And the wiper control almost made me crash a few times already. I need a quick way to turn the auto off, when it doesn't quit it makes for zero visibility in...

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

I don't know about their forged wheels, but I bought the same design Fast wheels for my Merc c43. Had 3 incidents in one year of bends and air leakage. The shop told me they get a lot of Fast wheels that bend over road bumps and pot holes. Not trusting Fast anymore.
