Model Y Performance : All Terrain Tires and Wheels with no Lift Kit?

255/55R18 with no rubbing, though it gets pretty close with the front tires where the outside edge of the tire nears the back of the wheel well. Others on the forums apparently have been able to go narrower and do 245/60R18.

    Lifted Model Y Owners: Report!

That thread seems too long and winding for me to get a full grasp of but I do think going narrower than 255 makes a big difference and might make 60R18 possible.

New to the world of auto mods/upgrades. Need help deciding what mods/kits to get to lift clearance and also improve ride comfort on future model Y

Yeah weight ratings are worth considering if you’re really adding heavy loads but also the newer 2021 Aeros are apparently higher rated anyway. So worst case scenario just make sure they’re off a newer model 3.

    Lifted Model Y Owners: Report!

New to the world of auto mods/upgrades. Need help deciding what mods/kits to get to lift clearance and also improve ride comfort on future model Y

I'd suggest starting with a smaller wheel larger tire setup. I swapped 18" aeros from a model 3 and put 29" diameter AT tires (+1" over stock). It's added the .5" of lift and the ride is surprisingly better with just the bigger tires. My previous cars were a Mazda3 and BMW i3 and both seemed way...

    Lifted Model Y Owners: Report!

I swapped in 18" aeros and 29" diameter BFG Trail Terrains that have work great. I'm still planning on adding the UPP Dirt and Snow Coilover kit to add an inch or two. The efficiency hasn't changed much, since I think the smaller/lighter wheels cancel out the effect of the AT tires (and once I...

Model Y Performance : All Terrain Tires and Wheels with no Lift Kit?

I swapped my wheels for 18" aeros and some 29" diameter AT tires. the extra diameter gives it a .5" lift but I'm still planning on getting the UPP Dirt and Snow coiler setup once they're in stock.
