    Repair/Parts wait times in Australia

Canberra Automotive Refinishers in Belconnon. Top notch. Very happy with the work. Turn around time was two half days.

    Repair/Parts wait times in Australia

Wonder if it's in the same container as my stuff. Nobody jinx it please.

    Repair/Parts wait times in Australia

Who needs indicators anyway, not like anyone uses them 😉 😄

    Repair/Parts wait times in Australia

Well I'm actually surprised with my turn around time on parts. Got a call from the body shop today, car booked in for the end of the month as they have secured a new front bumper. Sending good tesla magic vibes for swift acquisition of replacements for everyone else.

    Repair/Parts wait times in Australia

I'm not looking forward to see how long it takes to replace my front bumper. Someone was nice enough to reverse into it at a Woolies car park last month 🤬. A couple repairers here in Canberra said that it could be a while, or just not wanting to take the job at all due to having other Tesla's in...

    UI Rant

Your best starting point is to understand what does and doesn't work with the current UI. From there you can take a stocktake of what can be improved and why. This is important to understand for determining what requirements you will need going forward. You will save tremendous levels of energy...

    UI Rant

I have to say that sure the UI is not mind blowing spectacular. I didn't mind the previous version. I do agree with one poster here, in that you just have to get use to it, overall it's functional and does its job. I see a lot of posts stating how much they dislike the UI but I'm not really...

    Forward and reverse

Hard not to giggle about this while reading it. No doubt you felt dumb for doing it, but I think we all know how easy it is to be in that situation. Just that one moment when the brain is on autopilot and you hit the wrong stick. Feel for you.

    Forward and reverse

Long answer is No 🤷. You will get use to it pretty quickly and will become second nature. Within the first month of having my car I did something similar. That was the first and last time a close call happened. Mark it down to a learning experience.

Climate Control Issue - climate keeper not working due to system fault

OK this might seemed weird. I let the car sleep. Entered the tesla app. Navigated to climate. Tried turning on the a/c remotely. Presented with climate failed error in the app. I then exited the app, reopened and repeated the procedure to turn the a/c on again. No error presented. App displayed...

Thanks. I'll raise a ticket and get it sorted.

Climate Control Issue - climate keeper not working due to system fault

Just encounter this issue when unsplitting the a/c mid drive 🤷. Did we decide that a service booking is required to fix this? Anyone get it resolved?

    Camping in the 3

OK. For new years I did a quick camping trip in the hot tub equipped mobile hotel. -- Camp Bed -- I removed the rear seat cushions to give a good flat surface to sleep on. This involved pressing in two clips, these clips were located visibly under the left and right passenger seats. The rear...

    Camping in the 3

Think I could replicate the hot tub by filling the frunk with hot water and sitting in that 🤷

Think my inflatable mattress test ended in being a snugg fit.

    Camping in the 3

The megamat duo looks awesome. Re the windows shades, I think an eye mask would do the same job keeping the light out and the perception of privacy as you won't be able to see the outside world, hell of a lot cheaper. I say let the people look in 🤣

    Camping in the 3

That's a good idea, didn't think about taking that route. Was laying in the back yesterday thinking what could be done about the lowered back seat angle. This could work.

    Camping in the 3

Anyone done a night or two in their car? Any suggestions, as I wouldn't mind giving it a crack. Think I need a mattress or can I get away with just layering a couple of doonas? Cheers.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Completely agree. I would hazard a guess that the OP to the question in this thread was discovering if there was any new improvements with the existing modem. 5G would be a great addition, whilst it's not needed now, future media content like sentry streaming would certainly benefit from...

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Would also assume we need a hardware update to be 5G compatible.

    Charging - South Coast (NSW)

Berry and Goulbourne are other options. Was just trying to kill the trip time, but not heading that route.

    Charging - South Coast (NSW)

Agreed. I think the side trips will just tip me over the edge to get back home 🥴. Plus knowing me, it will be widows down, AC up and a little extra love on the go pedal. Battery drain might be a higher then ABRP suggestions. 🤣

    Charging - South Coast (NSW)

I was wondering how busy they get, especially heading down there Friday arvo. ChargeFox is already setup, but not used one yet.

    Charging - South Coast (NSW)

Sadly street parking for my airbnb. Was thinking the same thing. But that's always a good go-to.

    Charging - South Coast (NSW)

Hey fellow drivers! Heading to Mollymook via Batemans Bay, from Canberra this weekend. Whilst I won't need a charge there, I will need one on the return trip. What are the charging options like around Batemans Bay, anyone done a trip down recently? Cheers

    Acceleration Boost Not Available (Aus)

I have the '21 M3 LR and it's always been available to me as an upgrade option. Both on my tesla account and now more recently with the software update on the app.

It's beginning to look a lot like Xmas! Any interior tips to bringing even more joy?

Football [complaint about model 3 suspension]

Here in Australia we have rubbish roads, mind you not as bad as most throughout Scotland. But I find my 21' M3 LR is good, soft in most situations even hitting speed humps. My previous car was the VW Passat Alltrack and it's pretty comparable on road driving.

This is the only park bench I'll ever need. Coffee in hand taking in some Tesla tranquillity.

Right Pillar Camera Blocked or Blinded

Just had my first blinded camera this afternoon. M3 LR '21 (Chinese Factory). Clear conditions. Overcast, no rain. Warning randomly occurred while travelling under an underpass. 10min to self-clear.

What did you name your Tesla?

'Otis'.... He had been sitting on the dock of the bay, watchin' the tide roll away when I purchased him.

    Canberra owners shoutout.

I give everyone a good wave, I don't like to discriminate 🤣. Mind you, I've been living rural for a while, the wave just becomes second nature. I don't believe I've had one tesla owner not wave back, and if they didn't, I would chase them until they do.

    Music challenges

I tested this yesterday and as long as you have stations programmed it wasn't as issue changing the station via left right on the volume scroller. Mind you if I reached the last station and continued to selected right it pooped itself and couldn't selected back to the previous station.

    Canberra owners shoutout.

I've not done an away from home charge, so thanks for the app suggestions for evie and Chargefox. One day we will be able to drive further than the border 🤣 and I might need it.

    Tune In question. . .

I know this happens to me, and in my case, it's typically due to TuneIn having a buffer when streaming. I get annoyed also, especially when 'all things considered' is on. The buffer will run out from your previous session, at this point it's catches up live. Not yet looked into how to stop this...

    Canberra owners shoutout.

Loving the support and enthusiasm from other owners in the area, it's awesome. Great to see a solid community growing. It's chats like these that build confidence and excitement in the product. According to the Australian Electric Vehicle Association, there were 541 Teslas registered in the...

    Canberra owners shoutout.

Just wanted to give a shoutout to all my brother and sister Tesla owners here in Canberra. Big Tesla representation out on the roads today, especially down @ Majura Park. Virtual salute to you all. Have a cracking long weekend.

Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

Howdy! The time has nearly come with delivery expected tomorrow. Fingers crossed. Whilst this is exciting af, we are expecting high levels of rain. Good omen or bad? 🤣😬
