    Vision Only Limitations

got the update as well and yes, lowest follow setting is down to 2! Still too far in some situations though. And you get harsh braking going full stop. Still needs a lot of tuning.

Do you like the second gen Aero Wheels?

There's plenty to like about efficiency gains. You save money, save time charging, and the 5% range improvement may become the difference between reaching the next supercharger on a long trip when you are towing/carrying cargo/camping/driving in the cold.

    A Bit Shady?

I also got a call from Tesla earlier this day and told me that they can install our Solar Panels as early as tomorrow. It does look like they are scrambling for end of quarter sales. They are only installing Solar Panels. The Powerwall will come at a later date. The shady thing is that I don't...

    FSD subscription price

it absolutely amazes me why Tesla didn't get sued by FSD buyers after that "Robotaxis by 2020" claim.

How to access FSD beta if you are FSD monthly subscriber

is this confirmed? Will you get the beta request button even if you are just a subscriber and did not purchase FSD? I've been hearing conflicting statements.

    Yoke Steering

THIS The MS is a car for pushing boundaries. And that is exactly the kind of people buying MS. The yoke is perfect for the MS. But MX drivers are a different bunch of people. The MX is all about convenience, comfort, safety. I won't be surprised if Tesla switches over to a round steering wheel...

Do you like the second gen Aero Wheels?

The could not. Here's a great article explaining the engineering behind the aero wheels Tesla Model 3 aero wheels explained by the automaker's former head of aerodynamics These comments from their engineering team is exactly the reason why I would run the Aero Wheels even if I had the...

Tesla Model 3 PPF and ceramic coat NZ

the biggest benefit of a full PPF for me is that I can take the car to an automated car wash (brush and all) without fear of scratches. spending 10% of the value of a car on paint protection is excessive for me. but if I had the moolah I would totally go for it.

Do you like the second gen Aero Wheels?

I thought I was the only person in the world who really likes them, but so far I have been getting a lot of compliments mostly from non-car/non-Tesla people. I really wanted to keep the Aero Wheel caps because I appreciate the fact that they were specifically engineered to improve range and...

Do you like the second gen Aero Wheels?

(please let me know if this question has been asked before) Yes, the old Aero Wheels look really bad. But what do you think about the new ones? Have you seen these in person? Did you keep yours or take them off? I want to know what other people think. pictures from drivingelectric.com

    OFFICIAL BUTTON WATCH

hang on, will non-FSD/AP-only drivers get the button? How will that work? I thought only FSD cars can get FSD beta?

    Vision Only Limitations

you can achieve the wiper goal and keep the radar (and not lose AEB, ELDA etc)

    Vision Only Limitations

this leads me to believe that "Remove the Radar" is a business decision, not an engineering decision.

    Powerwall Backorders

where are you located? Am I missing anything here? anyone else have this issue?

    Show me your accessories!

the hood hooks over the headrest. there are straps over the shoulders and buckles at the hips that would only work on the front seat. maybe if you fold down the rear seats you will be able to use the straps and buckles. but even if you don't it's still a lot better than a yoga mat.

    Show me your accessories!

https://www.amazon.com/EVNV-Tesla-Model-Seat-Cover/dp/B08FGKVLXB these work great for me. I use it for the driver seat but I don't see how it wouldn't work for car seats. definitely better than a yoga mat.

Has anyone done the ceramic coating to the white seats?

For me, it wouldn't hurt to do it. it's just around $60 for the Gyeon Leather Shield. At the very least it will save you from accidental staining and would make it a tad bit easier to clean. It's very easy to apply.

    Powerwall Backorders

is it ever possible to get Tesla Solar but skip the Powerwall? With all the shortages and everything, I'd really just want to get solar right now. I don't think I really need a battery backup any time soon.

    Vision Only Limitations

I can see how people who are not used to driving dense city highways will never understand how annoying it is to drive with a following distance larger than 3. It's bordering on unsafe. With so many other cars cutting in front of you, AP will be constantly braking harshly which is not good for...

    Tasker plugin is awesome!

I looked at the Github pages and all and confirmed it. "Crazydog", the maker of "Bolt for Tesla", is Jonah Hirsch who appears to be the original developer of the Tesla Tasker Plugin. I'm getting Bolt for Tesla now.

    Tasker plugin is awesome!

Thanks. So it's back with a new name (Bolt for Tesla). I was suspicious about the new name given that it only has 500 installs in the Play Store. I wanted to make sure it was from the same developer.

    2022 M3P ordering

my crystal ball says no significant updates to the M3 for 2022. Tesla will be busy ramping up production of the MY with the casted chassis in Giga Texas, then ramping up production of the refreshed MS and MX, and also you have the CT and the rumored $25k MA/M2/MQ TL;DR, Tesla is too busy in...

Tesla Model 3 PPF and ceramic coat NZ

I can completely relate to you having all these thoughts about PPF and ceramic coating. I did too. I watched the videos too. I heard the paint quality is very weak. And that chips and swirls will totally ruin your car. And I fell for it. I had a professional ceramic coating ($1,000) and a...

Am I getting caught up in the hype of PPF

my goal is to have a car that's easy to live with, maintain, and not worry about. I do want it to look good without having to do much about it. I had my M3 professionally ceramic coated ($1k) and front bumper PPF'd ($700) I did DIY PPF on the rocker panel and lower rear door skirts. Costed me...

Off-the-floor, magnetic cable keeper (DIY charging station)

I was using a hook instead of a magnet before, but that needed two hands to operate - one to hold the charger handle and the other to unhook the cable. With a magnet, I just have to yank on the charger handle and the cable pops off. Granted, it is awkward to put the cable back on with one hand...

Off-the-floor, magnetic cable keeper (DIY charging station)

Just sharing our home charging station setup for anyone out there looking for ideas. I am 100% open to suggestions and criticisms of how I could improve/do better/fix something wrong. Goals super easy to use: I do not want to deal with coiling cables. I want to be able to plug and unplug with...
