WTB: Model Y 19" Gemini Wheel and Winter Tire Package - MN/IA/WI

Thanks. Appreciate that but the Tesla shop had the winter package in stock on Sat and I picked a set up before they went out of stock again.

Prefer to pickup if possible. Thx.

Thanks for the update! I will be able use it tomorrow enroute to the Vikings game.

    Wisconsin Supercharger Discussion & Tracking

Great surprise today seeing the planned SC expansion. Was great to see Oshkosh and Milwaukee in there along with Rochester, MN and one directly in Minneapolis. Road trips just got significantly easier! Any info on these four new locations, please share any information!

AirPlay - Tesla falls further behind in Infotainment

Agreed - the lack of Android Auto and CarPlay is embarrassing for Tesla at this point.

AirPlay - Tesla falls further behind in Infotainment

Would pretty dumb on BMW's part but not exactly shocking given their investment and commitment to iDrive. When a feature becomes standard on 90% of the other vehicles in the base package, it is time to get with the times and simply include it as standard.

    Supercharger - Green Bay, WI

Should be located at another Festival Foods located one (like Sheboygan's) - presumably De Pere or Green Bay. Didn't see anything listed under De Pere (site:deperecitywi.iqm2.com) but Green Bay's site is pretty worthless (scanned as image PDFs) so if you have time, you could start digging...

Thanks for posting the pics. Hopefully that one picture showing the damaged shipping carton doesn't mean they need a replacement sent and delays the completion.

Anyone close to the location see any movement on this SC?

    Minnesota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

I guess I would see this the other way around. In this case, Hyvee is going to be employee owned = probably easy to strike a deal to install the stations on the property. For the grocery store, almost guarantees you are going to go in and pick something up. The only negative as you mentioned is...

Yeah, did that (via DuckDuckGo) but I must have fat fingered something (was on my iPad).

    Minnesota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

Nice work. I had flipped through the meeting PDFs back through March and then decided to go to bed :) 24/7 grocery stores seem to be popular locations. The upcoming Green Bay one should also be in a Festival parking lot (like Sheboygan's). Looking forward to having this SuperCharger available...

    Minnesota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

I emailed and got this answer back today: Thank you for your email. We have chosen a location just outside of Minneapolis in the Oakdale area and we are approaching the construction phase of the project. Once construction begins, a site typically takes 6-8 weeks to complete.

    Supercharger needed in Appleton-Greenbay area

Green Bay is scheduled to get a Supercharger this year. There are several HPWC in the area including the Aloft Hotel.

    Minnesota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

So I did end up driving and we used the (new?) HPWC at the Hyatt Regency/Loring Ramp. 6th Level. 40A only but no additional cost vs ramp fee. These are on Plugshare but not as destination chargers on Tesla's map/list yet. There are 2 of them and they are nicely marked with green stalls and...

We need a cold weather support group...

Picked up the GreenWorks (greenworkstools.com) 80V blower to match my 80V mower and leaf blower from them. Just used the snowblower for the first time with a 10-12'' snow cover and it worked exceptionally well. Better than gas. Even with heavy snow bottom. It made my Toro plug in one look like a...

    Minnesota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

Thanks for the generous offer. Someone volunteered to drive so the Tesla isn't making the trip after all. Here is hoping the MSP happens soon. A CHAdeMO adapter doesn't sound like a bad investment however. There are more stations than I thought.

    Minnesota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

Heading to the Vikings game in Sunday and I see a bunch of options for L2 charging in the ramps around the campus / TCF Stadium. Does anyone have experience using these? Are the typically open and free? One was list as free but the others aren't. Or perhaps someone else has a better option for...

Just announced: Minneapolis Service Center is also an official Sales Center

I would guess this may indicate that SC location could be here also then (like Highland Park?). Doesn't seem like the most optimal location if it is the case but would still be nice to get the first SC location in the area.

    Minnesota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

Got a response from the parking services at MSP. They stated they will be adding at least 1 more parking spot to each level that has electric stalls now but no timeline defined yet. Additionally they working on adding real time availability status to the webpage (mspairport.com) for the electric...

    Minnesota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

That worries me also. I'm guessing the other ramp or Hump terminal parking would have some open but one needs to allocate time to plan for that then. Might make sense to email the parking management via their website to ask what the plan is. They have been prey responsive when I've asked in the...

    Minnesota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

I am in the same boat here. While there are lots of destination charges, Supercharging is a different situation because eliminates charging plans (mostly). With SC, just stop and done in 30 minutes and I can make it home. With destination, bit more time and planning required as you have to...

GB is definitely delayed until 2016. From what I hear, they haven't decided on the final location yet (Depere vs. GB) let alone any building permits submitted or approved.

    Minnesota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

Anyone ask the construction crews if either of them are heading to a MSP location as next stop?

    Supercharger - Sheboygan, WI

Yes, being told Sheboygan is operational. Not official on the map yet but it is fully operational and open to public. Enjoy.

    Supercharger - Sheboygan, WI

I'll my Festy contact if it is open/live yet. Typically there is no official inspection at the end from what I can tell. The electric is hooked up by the utility and completed and the construction peeps do the final items, pack up and leave. After that it is simply a Tesla rep that sent to the...

    Supercharger - Sheboygan, WI

I don't see any change on the Telsa sit - still says 2015 for GB from what I can see. However I'm still hearing that nothing has changed and it will probably fall into 2016. To be honest, the MSP should be top priority for them next.
  32. T

    Supercharger - Sheboygan, WI

Last update on GB one was that it would probably slip into 2016. Map still says 2015 yet so maybe there is hope. I'll know once construction starts. So far I haven't found any building permits when I've looked.

    Minnesota Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

Cool, now if they get the Minneapolis one going and completed, a trip to Lutsen should be no problem in the winter. Maybe even makes sense to start harassing the resorts there now on adding some type of charging option or better yet, HPWC.
  36. T

    Supercharger - Sheboygan, WI

No worries but thanks for offering. We drove back today and actually passed it. The electric company was there working on it and it appeared they were starting to backfill gravel in. So close but as you said, probably a week out yet.

    Supercharger - Sheboygan, WI

Anyone know if it is live yet? Road tripping that way tomorrow for a fishing trip but I'm guessing I'm going to have to ICE it

    Minneapolis- St Paul area Supercharger

Looks like official supercharger map on teslamotors.com now has what appears to be Brainerd MN and somewhere between MSP and Duluth (Hinckley?) showing as "Coming Soon" for superchargers. Nothing listed for MSP yet though. If they are working south however then I'd assume MSP is next after those...

Here you go my friend. As you can see from the April dates... They are behind schedule. Hopefully the get it done soon. Will Tesla support CarPlay?

I say 'easy' in that they are basically implementing Apple's and Google's 'VNC' framework (in simplistic view, this is what it is...). So compared to say writing the current console OS for the S, not so hard  It is just a matter of priority and resources and most likely not so much...

    Will Tesla support CarPlay?

Sent my feedback to them. What I want: center console with the nice flip down access to the phone dock/lightening connector. I get in the car, snap in my iPhone and CarPlay pops up on the console. Easy peasy. No reason they can't do this along with Android Auto support also. Everyone wants it...

Other chargers -> haven't heard anything yet. Probably depends how many crews are going in the area. The last time they were constructing in the state I think they had 2 different crews going. Would seem logical they swing over to Wausau after GB. And probably the MN side for MSP, Duluth, etc...

    Charging (220V) install in Minneapolis.

Not in MSP (SE MN) but running an 100A aluminum run from my existing box to the garage (~20ft) to a new junction box and then temporary 50A connection plug was ~$400 from the local electrician. When my HPWC showed up I replaced the plug with the HPWC (you will need to run the copper to the HPWC...
