Took delivery of my MY on 10/23 in Irvine. Got license plates today. Surrendering them to DMV tomorrow so that I can reassign my old plates.

Thanks! Did they give you new stickers there? Or you just use the ones that came with the unused plates?

So surrender the white plates to DMV and fill out the reassignment form there?

Does anybody know how soon I can reassign my personalized CA plate (the black-yellow legacy plate) from my previous vehicle to my new Tesla? My Y currently has a temporary plate but not the regular one. Do I have to wait till my regular plates arrive before I can file the reassignment?

Tesla updated its website last night. The Model Y configurator is now showing a slight increase in the estimated range (330 vs 326). Maybe you are getting a different type of battery.

Will the trick work if the sticker was put on ppf?

The sticker is gonna leave a mark upon removal, so I don’t really recommend getting it unless you absolutely have to :)

Received call from SA about VIN on 10/18, and it appeared in my account right away. I am picking up tomorrow.

Yes. You need to have a method established. Choose cash for now, and switch to loan/lease after getting VIN if necessary.

I was supposed to take delivery at Costa Mesa on Saturday. Just checked my account and the address changed to Irvine. Did anyone experience that before?

Based on information on Tesla's manufacturing page, Austin won't be delivering any Y's until early 2022.

I was told that you can actually pay your final amount by cashier's check at pick up. I paid mine using the Plaid thing though. It didn't allow me to readjust the payment amount. I believe you need to have Tesla do that for you.

The letter F in front of the 296 indicates it's coming from the Fremont plant. A P would be for Palo Alto.

My current EDD is 10/16-11/05. I just asked my SA this morning and he said he saw on his system that I’ll be issued a VIN on 10/26 (could be sooner or later). I certainly hope I can complete all paper work by the 11/1 deadline before the state incentive cuts in half.

Then I probably shouldn’t get my hope up. I have the same config as you except without FSD, and my current EDD is similar to your previous one. They’ll probably push mine back soon :(

I have the same date and almost the same config (except for black interior) as you! My EDD has been sitting at 10/16-11/05 for weeks now.
