I made another site visit today. Paving still not completed. There were electricians working there today. In our brief conversation across the fence I was told they thought this Supercharger would be online as soon as the end of this week or maybe next week. I did not ask if a power company...

Today's progress is preparation for paving. I did not observe any other changes since I visited on 8 February. Interesting or troubling was that auto pilot did not take the exit correctly off I-10 westbound at Toltec Road.

Construction has begun here. Visited Wednesday 8 February 2023. The Circle K adjacent to this station is open 24/7. Men’s restroom is ok. The Xpress Fuel Travel Center to the south has larger and nicer restrooms.

Can anyone here recall when Socorro was first listed on the Tesla website as a future Supercharger? TIA.

A member on our Facebook group posted "Good News! For those that drive I25 in New Mexico the planned SC in Socorro Is almost open. It is located by the Best Western and McDonald’s. It has been “coming soon” for years now and it looks like it will be online in the next week or two."

Globe, dear Globe. When will we see a charger there? I cannot recall where I saw it on social media, but Eloy was mentioned as a new Supercharger location. That would make Casa Grande obsolete. Note: I cannot source the Eloy location and make no claims that it will actually be built.

I have seen mentions on FB that Gila Bend is being upgraded. Any photos or details?

@araxara the gas station on the SW Corner is 24-hours. Not ideal, but..... Agree with the above comments on Casa Grande. IMO that location needs to be relocated and expanded.

The SC on the SE side of Tucson (Rita Road exit off I-10) is a bit congested these days. Pilot has taken over as the store operator. Today is the first day open as a Pilot Station, formally a Shell Station. There are display cases near the pedestals and a lot of ICE cars parked in the SC spots...

We just completed a 4,300 mile trip with a Wh/mi of 261.

The construction fence is down. They are working on installing landscaping rock and the enclosure fence. Still waiting on the transformer.

I stopped by the charger construction site this morning. Still no transformer. The signs all say Tesla charging only.

FYI Ina Road is closed at I-10 for another year or so.

I have four (4) 19" OEM Wheels off my 2015 Model S. They have ~3,000 miles on them. $500 for the four, regional delivery/pick up (Tucson metro, Southern AZ, Phoenix metro). Valve stems yes, TPMS no.

I was under the impression that the car nav accounted for elevation in it's calculations. Looking at the projected energy use it seems too.

Great discussion on the choices we have with navigation. However, I've been through Deming, NM several times, and I think the Tesla navigation can handle it there. :) Safe travels this weekend.

I have an Evannex CCI (Center Console Insert). Carbon Fiber top and grey leather sides. Good condition. I added a small slot for pens, phone, or pad of paper using form core (can be removed). Asking $150 plus shipping if required. Located in Tucson, AZ.

The spots closest to the store are signed general parking 30 min. The spots opposite those are for Tesla charging only. I did not look when I was there on the 13th, but I wonder if all the "A" stations are on one side and the "B"'s on the other. That would simplify the decision on which spot to...

I have seen two reports on Tesla Owners Arizona on Facebook reporting it went live last night.

azred I'm sorry you took my comment as demeaning of a store clerk. As a Tucson Model S owner this site has been long overdue. What I meant, and perhaps could have said so there is no confusion is: Let's hope the completion forecast from the staff inside the store at the Shell station for 13...

Take the word of a store clerk with a grain of salt. There are still a few more hurdles to cross before Tesla will send a tech to bring this station online.

But the SC is not operational.

The Tucson SC is looking sharp. The paving and concrete is done, spaces are painted, and the signs are up. Half of the spaces (five) are dedicated Tesla only parking and the other five are 30-minute general parking. (These spots are closer to store.) There is a palate of wire sitting (covered)...

That and all the full sized images I have been posting. :)

The website for this Shell stations says it is a 24-hour operation. The Subway inside the Shell is not. One of your photos shows the new asphalt has been laid.

Tucson SC work is wrapping up (9225 S Rita Rd, Tucson. S Rita Road and I-10.). Fences are down. Today electricians finishing up. Tomorrow asphalt work will be done. Landscaping next week. No word on when TEP will install the transformer. The Tesla Club of Southern Arizona will be hosting a SC...

I used the address of each SC, rather than the cities.

I've been in touch with the NM Club about a "golden spike" celebration at Deming. While it makes sense from being able to drive it I was surprised Deming is beginning before Willcox. Anyways there will be something in the future one the Southern AZ Club and the NM Club get it worked out...

I could not find an application date, which doesn't mean it's not there. The fee was paid on the 21st of September.

Lots of progress in just two days of work at the Tesla SC (9225 S Rita Red, Tucson). All stanchions up, wire pulled, pad for transformer, and concrete forms placed.

I agree. No transformer for these SC yet.
