Good choice of tires. Went with the same. I got 19” TSW Clypse wheels in gloss black from TireRack as a set, including TPMS, and it’s being installed the day after delivery by their mobile install service.

Also scheduled delivery for Monday afternoon. Getting her shoes changed Tuesday morning, will post some before/afters.

No - Grand Ave, I’m in the city. Just thought the transport on the rail line from Milpitas CA to Chicago would have all the ChiLand vehicles in the same range, since they distribute to the different service centers by truck from the hub.

Our cars should be in the same transport, no? Was told yesterday that car wasn’t on the train yet, and still holding on the current estimated delivery range (10/30 - 11/5). Oh well, can’t complain, but great to hear you’re almost at the finish line.

This is a very valid point. Many new consumers will probably not know the benefits of the Supercharger Network, but it is a massive advantage currently. Of course if Tesla opens them up to other manufacturers that will become more democratized (and awesome for competition).

Yeah, good point. It just didn't make that much of a difference to me vs. the convenience of it. 1.24% is an insane rate. Makes zero sense to use cash to pay at those rates. My BIL just paid for his MS in cash; doesn't make sense to me.

Went with Tesla financing for convenience's sake. DCU's rate at 72 months without direct deposit was 2.5%, same as Tesla (BMo Harris) at 2.49%. Going to be paying this off in short order anyway, so makes no difference to me. The Agreements button is greyed out again, but thankfully VIN's still here!

I gotta do that too. Any gotchas to be aware of during the switch from cash to financing @RyStar?

You’re both right. They used to include TPMS. They no longer do. Took a peek at their website and it’s no longer offered. One of the reasons I went with TireRack.

Thanks for sharing. That’s depressing frankly because I think you’re right. I didn’t think any of them were MYPs (wasn’t pixel peeping, hope I’m wrong).

I bought new ones and had TireRack install them on the wheels. They source OEM TPMS which came with an invoice from Tesla and TireRack marks them up for installation. I plan to sell the Uberturbines as a full set so it’s easier to offload, so wanted to keep the TPMS intact on those.

With summer tires, it’s about the rubber compound vs the tread (which doesn’t help either). I’ve had summers that have been hockey pucks at 50F on wet roads. I made a decision a long time ago not to drive summers below 55F in Chicago.
