    Cancelling my reservation

I love my 2013 Model S and have a deposit on a 3 that I put down when it was unveiled. I was finally asked to configure the second week of this month and I just can’t bring myself to pull the trigger yet. Being around for a while I’ve seen the growing pains of early built Tesla’s and people...

    2k reservation good/bad?

I didn't think reservations were transferrable. I have one with an invitation to configure and I'm still on the fence about buying the car. I could be persuaded to let it go for the right price.

I'm planning on selling my car as well so there's no need to find another solution.

Tesla Mode S rear console for sale

Bought this and put it in my car twice. Found out I have too many kids to be able to use it. It’s practically brand new. Grey leather with Obeche Gloss finish. $650 shipped OBO

Model X tax incentive questions regarding purchase for business

Has anyone concluded for sure what all tax deductions and incentives the Model X will qualify for if purchased as a business vehicle? I know there were talks about the "Hummer" tax break, but can you claim that in addition to the federal and state incentives? I'm asking here because the local...

    Signature delivery now mid/late January

I understand everyone's anxious anticipation, but for me I would rather wait a few more months and get a better product AND have my brand new Model X be a 2016 model for the new year instead of a 2015.

    Model X door "handles"

I would also imagine it's a solution to the scalding hot door handle issue on the S as well. This way they can keep the same chrome appearance without people having to grab and hold them when they're piping hot.

Fascinating and intriguing power/performance figures on the TM website

My thinking is all the cars are limited primarily by software and not so much the components. This would simplify the production and minimize the amount of unique parts for manufacturing. I think they use the software to limit the HP on each car, but if unlocked the motors could all be capable...

    New leather dash treatment?

In the image of the interior it now looks like the dash is some sort of two tone, possibly using alcantara, but on the larger portion of the dash closer to the windshield. What do you guys think? Possibly just the lighting in the photo, or is it possible it's a new feature?

What happened to the other state incentives on design studio??

I can't see the calculation for the Louisiana state incentive anymore. Does anyone know why it's gone? Does it not exist anymore?

Black or Blue ? Totally torn...

If you're choosing between those two colors I would go with BLUE for sure. It's like having both colors because it sometimes looks dark enough to be black, but because it's metallic it has a depth to it that the black doesn't have.

    S85D 0-60 Limited??

Ooooops. I mis read the info on the design page of Teslas website. I thought it said it had a 376hp rear and 188hp front motor but I guess it's two 188hp motors. My bad.
  19. M

    S85D 0-60 Limited??

I am assuming Tesla has limited the 0-60 capability of the regular S85D to 5.6 sec. because it has a combined HP rating of 564 HP which is well above what my current P85 has, yet my P85 gets from 0-60 in 4.2 sec. Does anyone think Tesla will allow the S85D to go faster with an update in the...

Trying to buy a loaner car has been rediculous for me.

@MsElectric I hear you on that. There's certainly some options I probably wouldnt select if I ordered a car to either save the money or just because I think they aren't worth the additional cost, but I don't mind getting a car that has those options and not really having to pay for them because...

Trying to buy a loaner car has been rediculous for me.

Not true at all. In fact almost all the locations I spoke with, most recently the guy in Seattle said that had a LOT available and he would check inventory with my requests and call or email be back. That was three days ago. I prefer to by an inventory car for obvious reasons. Discount and no...

Trying to buy a loaner car has been rediculous for me.

I can't remember EVER trying so hard to give someone my money and business only to have them not take me up on it, over and over again. I have been trying to trade up to a P85D from my P85 for weeks. I have contacted showrooms all over the country, Atlanta, St. Louis, Denver, Seattle, Kansas...

    Inventory Vehicles

I am really trying hard to find an inventory car to buy before the end of the month but it's been kina hard. I have called several locations and initially people have been helpful but if they don't immediately find a car that matches my requests, the follow up is lacking with some locations...

Supercharger - Redondo Beach (LIVE 20 Jan 2015, 8 stalls)

I don't know if anyone mentioned this, but the biggest benefit to this location in my opinion is close proximity to LAX. I fly a lot and i don't want to trust some valet guy at a parking garage to charge my car, so this is a big plus for people who travel and park their cars for days at a time...

    P85D no more required options...

Has anyone configured a car now to compare the price? A few days ago I built a P85D and it seemed that it was cheaper when the tech package and air suspension were automatically included. Now that you have to select those options it seems more expensive than before.

    3rd row ventilation

All I ask is that when Tesla finally addresses this, the fix is retrofitable. I would really love to have proper ventilation back there for my kids and hopefully the retrofit won't cost too much.

    Firmware 6.0 (beta version discussion)

I personally am happy with all of the new features. There is NO OTHER CAR ON THE MARKET that adds features AFTER you buy it. Just look at how may people were complaining about the car being driven off without the key fob. Now Tesla comes up with an innovative way to remedy that issue so you...

    Black headliner option

Went into the Topanga store for the first time today and they had the black suede headliner material on display. I think its a good option for people to have, but I prefer the lighter colored material. It makes the cabin feel more open. I have other cars with black interiors and headliners and...

It's that time again - embarrassing loud AC compressor

Well I have to say I'm a bit perplexed. I was contacted practically the day after I posted here about my car having the same noise. New Panoramic Roof Bow !

It was literally a matter of time before I did this myself. It was going to be my very first cosmetic mod to my car. I'm glad this will be available. It'll save me the time of having to find matching material and have my shop do it. I'll be ordering that ASAP.

    (California) SOLAR recommendations LA

Thanks guys. I'm still looking into this. I have property with plenty of south facing hillside that I can put panels on instead of going the roof route. California: Free 91/110/10 Express Lane Access

Just received my transponder and it's not a switchable one. I guess I'll need to call them. When I applied there wasn't any place I could see to request a switchable unit. I did specify that I would only be using a ZEV and they sent me a regular transponder.

    New Grey for Model S

Well, they are definitely up to something, even if it's as simple as just a color change to offer something new to buyers. It's possible that now they may revise several or all of the current colors offered. One thought is maybe this grey looks better on the Model X than the old grey so they...

It's that time again - embarrassing loud AC compressor

You can add me to the list. Just went out this evening and had that loud noise coming from my a/c. Took a video of it too just to compare with others and its the same issue. I also noticed the other day from the inside of my car with the a/c on full blast that it sounded like the fans were...

    USB issues anyone??

First let me say that I love my car, and let me also say that my limited experience with the service center has been great so far. I haven't contacted the SC yet for an appointment so I thought I'd ask here first in case there is something I can do to fix it myself. Both my USB ports are really...

    (California) SOLAR recommendations LA

I'm looking to install solar. I need a trusted recommendation because I know there's some shady people in the solar industry. Can anyone recommend a company in the Los Angeles area? I looked up Solar City to try to keep it in the Tesla family, but a lot of their reviews on Yelp are less than...

Xpel wrap recommendations in Los Angeles

I've talked to three people about getting my car wrapped with Xpel. Does anyone have any experience with any of these three people or can you recommend a really good installer? I've talked with Sticker City in Van Nuys, a guy named Bain Mendoza and Norbert with Crystal Autoshield. Bain and...

Opti Coat Pro or Suntek Wrap (Partial w/total hood coverage)

I have a quick question. I called Bain Mendoza who was recommended in the thread above as a top notch installer. He said he uses Nano Fusion as his material for the clear wrap. I hear everyone talking about Xpel. Does anyone have an opinion on the quality and Preformance of the Nano Fusion product?

    Repainting my Model S

It is my understanding that everyone (body shops included) in CA is required by law to use the new water based paints, so if you want your car painted with something else you'll most likely have to take it out if state.

I wanted a little more of a "stealth" look

    Can't decide on my color

My favorite color is white on this car, but I got a blue P85 with grey wheels and LOVE the way it looks. I agree that all the colors look good on this car, but certain colors looks best with the darker wheels. Blue, Green, and Brown would all be colors that I would opt for the darker wheels. Red...

Mixed feelings...My very long and detailed experience purchasing an inventory car.

My work schedule doesn't allow for something like that. It's very likely that if I ordered a car it would be ready for delivery on a date where I am on the other side of the planet. Also, after buying lots of luxury cars over the years and watching them depreciate rapidly in the first two to...

Mixed feelings...My very long and detailed experience purchasing an inventory car.

Let me preface this all by saying I have been lurking around here and the other Tesla forum for over a year, bought stock in the company, and believe in Elons vision for this company and his endeavors. Buying this car was not an impulse decision. I thought long and hard about this and decided I...

    Model S P85 green, 19k miles, fully loaded $91K, AZ - SOLD

National average for milage is 12k miles a year, not 21.5k That would be a $36k deprecation for mileage. Most 100k cars depreciate AT LEAST that much in 3 years.

    Model S P85 green, 19k miles, fully loaded $91K, AZ - SOLD

Isn't your vin early enough that the rear seats could be added? Also, doing the math based on the Tesla formula for inventory cars, 14 months (Dec '12- Feb '14 x $1k per month ($14,000), $1 per mile after 500 ($18,500), and the federal tax rebate $7,500 comes out to $40,000 off the car which...
