Supercharger - San Jose, CA - Coleman Ave (LIVE 31 Aug 2018, 12 stalls)

Heard 18 stalls at Santana Row. Not sure where they will put them, and doesn't that sound like they are asking for ICE'ing problems?
  2. S

    Supercharger - Concord, CA (LIVE 2 Mar 2018, 19 V2 stalls)

Somebody needs to do some snooping around San Ramon according to sources.
  3. S

    Supercharger - Hickory, NC

Hickory is coming soon. Hot off the presses.

Home Charging - What do I need to do/buy?

A friendly electrician is the key, even if its a friend of a friend. When you tell an electrician you want to install a 14-50, he is going to try and get 50 amps to it. The key is getting 220v. I had an issue getting wiring to my garage. Couldn't fit 6thhn in existing conduit but could get some...

Multiple CA Supercharger locations down in past 5 months: breakdowns, vandalism, or theft?

I would bet Tesla pays under $3k... I wonder what the black market value is on the stolen ones.
  6. S

Multiple CA Supercharger locations down in past 5 months: breakdowns, vandalism, or theft?

I like the idea about Tesla marking the breakers in some way that makes them less desirable on the black market. There is also a restraining bolt on these breakers that they may want to change to a tamperproof bolt. The funny thing is that these aren't high demand breakers so the aftermarket...

    Supercharger - Indio, CA (LIVE, 36 V3 + 8 V2 + 2 Urban stalls)

The breakers. Worth more than the copper to the right (shady) people.
  8. S

    Supercharger - Indio, CA (LIVE, 36 V3 + 8 V2 + 2 Urban stalls)

They aren't stealing the copper cable. The small amount in the switchboard isn't worth the nice shock they would get. They do know what they are doing however. Must be somebody with an electrical background

Assistance for Coal Miners and Coal Industry Workers

How about a gigafactory in West Virginia and a new Model 3 plant in Pennsylvania. That would be a good start.
  10. S

    Supercharger - Cabazon, CA (16 V2 stalls)

Anybody try Indio this morning? Problems??

Another Californian whining about Supercharger Locations :)

I mentioned in another thread about 6 weeks ago on something coming to Sacramento city proper. No good clue where yet but it is going to be a larger than normal site. Just thinking out loud, something at the Natomas marketplace or another shopping center off Truxel would make the most sense...

    Wiki Supercharger Progress

If any of you sleuths want to sniff around Sacramento, I have heard that a large site is close to happening... like construction pending. No idea of exact location but supposedly in city limits.
  13. S

Supercharger - Barstow (EXPANDED, 5 stalls added, now 16 total)

At Tesla its a top priority, not sure about the City of Barstow or the utility... that's the hang-up normally.
  14. S

Supercharger - Barstow (EXPANDED, 5 stalls added, now 16 total)

I have it on good authority that Barstow enlargement/bulletproofing is being super-expedited. Orders from the top!
  15. S

    Charging X and S

John F, please do yourself a favor and replace the Zinsco panel. I see where most electricians get replacement breakers for them and its not pretty. The breakers just don't trip. Its like putting a nail in a fuse holder. A 3 alarm fire waiting to happen.

Superchargers in Northern California (location speculation)

As regards the Bass Pro shop in San Jose. I know they are looking for something on the 85 corridor but the Almaden/85 interchange area is REALLY congested. They know that too. It has been improved a bit since Bass went in, but still bad. That being said... never say never!

    Tesla Supercharger network

With all the northeast people complaining about range loss with the cold, someone should sniff around Watertown NY for permits. I am sure there wont be anything moving until the ground thaws though.
  18. S

    Supercharger - Bend, OR

is anyone looking for permits? I have it on good authority that something should be rumbling construction wise by April. No pinpoint location though.
  19. S

    Supercharger - Buttonwillow, CA (10 V2 stalls)

Cottonwood, when I mentioned southbound I wasn't thinking rest stop, but you may be right. As far as logic we could be looking at a bit longer range batteries in the future where its easy to do bay area to LA with one stop, or possibly the Buttonwillow area is more "welcoming" to Tesla when it...
  20. S

    Supercharger - Buttonwillow, CA (10 V2 stalls)

I will stick with Buttonwillow..... southbound.
  21. S

    Supercharger - Buttonwillow, CA (10 V2 stalls)

I am hearing there will be a second set going in here soon. Tejon/Harris problems may soon be a distant memory.....
  22. S

    Supercharger - Fresno, CA (6709 N Riverside, LIVE 10 Jan 2016, 10 V2 stalls)

DLM270.... should see Temecula soon... that is all.

Painfully crowded and slow charging on I5 between LA and SF

Just a little update.... looks like the additional I5 one is definitely Buttonwillow. Also should be seeing a expansion of Harris Ranch. Might be old news.. been away for a while.
  25. S

    Supercharger - Fresno, CA (6709 N Riverside, LIVE 10 Jan 2016, 10 V2 stalls)

Cottonwood? really?? Its not 100% yet but we will say 99% at Herndon and 99 shopping centers. Look for permit app soon.

How much does Tesla add to electric bill?

After I got my EV reduced rate from PG&E and changed my pool pump to come on during those hours, my bill had gone down by 1/3rd!
  27. S

Painfully crowded and slow charging on I5 between LA and SF

btw.. when I say 2-3 months I mean there should be some activity somewhere in that area in 2-3 months. Not a completed supercharger.
  28. S

Painfully crowded and slow charging on I5 between LA and SF

Cant divulge how I know. My track record is pretty good. As for 99 vs 5, they need 99 and Fresno would get you from Tejon to Manteca.
  29. S

Painfully crowded and slow charging on I5 between LA and SF

Fresno is on its way. Probably in the next 2-3 months. No idea on location but it is happening. They are also looking at something in the Kettleman hills area. Probably where 41 crosses 5. No idea when but its out there.

Superchargers in Northern California (location speculation)

Look for a supercharger at the new Dublin Service Center. Nice for the 680/580 crew!!
  31. S

    Walnut Creek Service Center

Looks like Tesla is looking for a shop foreman for Dublin on simplyhired.com. I also have heard that this site will get a supercharger at the same time. The Chrysler Dealership makes a lot of sense.
  32. S

    Nashville Supercharger(s)

A wild guess.. Brentwood service center and Opry Mills (Tesla loves Simon properties)
  33. S

Superchargers in Northern California (location speculation)

Cottonwood, can you check with your source about something I heard? Corte Madera service center getting Superchargers soon. I don't know a thing about that shopping center but that's the rumor. Kind of like Rocklin maybe??
  34. S

Superchargers in Northern California (location speculation)

I believe its the old race track. I bet you see ground breaking within two months.
  35. S

Superchargers in Northern California (location speculation)

I will drop a new location on this thread... someone more local can verify and start their own new thread. San Mateo supercharger at Park Place shopping center. Any of you sleuths want to try and verify that?
  36. S

Superchargers in Northern California (location speculation)

I will go with the museum in Mt View. Makes the most sense for parking. As far as Tesla HQ...ever been there? Its off the beaten path and there is no parking available. You can drive around the lot looking forever. And no street parking. For that one down by 85... They are putting in a Bass Pro...
  37. S

Supercharger - Redondo Beach (LIVE 20 Jan 2015, 8 stalls)

it is my understanding that Socal will have a few more in the near future. Kind of jealous being a Norcal guy but I applaud Tesla for making it happen. Hopefully they look at all areas that are large markets and do the same. The Bay Area seems to be getting in on this too.
  38. S

Mt Shasta charger to Bend, OR worth it?

One good thing is that the speed limit is 55 on 97 in Oregon and it is enforced. The trips I've done thru there (pre Tesla) I never went above 60-62.
  39. S

    Supercharger - Coeur d'Alene, ID (LIVE Feb 2015, 6 V2 + 8 V3 stalls)

It's still happening. Probably by spring.
  40. S

Superchargers in Northern California (location speculation)

I will stick with 101 for Mt View. There is a shopping area off Rengstorff. A Cinemark theatres off Shoreline and a Museum off Shoreline. Not much else with public parking right off 101.
  41. S

Superchargers in Northern California (location speculation)

A little investigating on Napa. A company called Allied Clean Fuels Terminal is going in by the airport. The American Canyon Eagle says it will have charging stations in addition to other alternative fueling stations. Might be worth investigating by someone up there.
  42. S

Superchargers in Northern California (location speculation)

Parking in Mt View is also at a premium. All exits off 101 are nightmares pretty much all day. Is there any quiet shopping center off 85?
  43. S

Superchargers in Northern California (location speculation)

Has anyone heard of anything about superchargers in Mountain View? I know Solar City HQ in San Carlos was brought up but I have heard rumblings about Mt View. Have no idea where they would put something. Maybe Google is putting some at HQ for employees? Hopefully Tesla will go wild in the Bay...
  44. S

Superchargers in Northern California (location speculation)

I am pretty sure Napa (or close by in the valley) will happen sometime in 2015. That's an area with high tourism that is car based...and I'm sure lots of Tesla employees who like to go wine tasting will want the convenience! Maybe Elon should buy a winery and locate SC's there...make it a nice...
  45. S

Superchargers in Northern California (location speculation)

I think I called this on page 19 back in May... along with Truckee. Ecarfan... the Solar City site makes perfect sense... no jerk landlord to deal with. Even easy access to I-280.

Supercharger - Hooksett NH Rest Areas

Ha! hj-45... my timeline is accurate if all goes smoothly. Just like any building project, when it comes to timelines... Sh!@ happens!. When my source says soon, its soon 90% of the time. btw...I should be at the championship parade right now! Although it is literally raining on their parade.
  47. S

Supercharger - Hooksett NH Rest Areas

As far as crates go, not all the material that goes into a supercharger comes from Tesla. Did you see anything from Schneider Electric or anything with a big square D on it? Those tend to show up first. Big gray metal boxes. If those are there the rest will follow.

19" Factory Wheels and Michelin Primacy Tires - No Longer Available

$2300 now with shipping paid to continental US. These tires/wheels literally went from factory to Morgan Hill ca, to Danville, back to Morgan Hill and then came off. Wife never had time to curb them:wink:

19" Factory Wheels and Michelin Primacy Tires Hey guys, I have a set of 4 stock 19" wheels complete with tires, TPMS, lug nuts and caps. The tires have only around 200 miles on them, and the rims are spotless. They'll be wiped clean of all brake-dust and professionally shipped (free of...
