SR+ name dropped, now just “Model 3” and listed range increased

I've read elsewhere that the base Model 3 now comes with heated rear seats and heated steering wheel as standard.

OT posts from Q3 collection and delivery experiences [closing soon]

I noticed similar swirls, scratching and a little 'haziness' in certain light/angles when I collected my red M3 and I suspect a lot of this is how the car is washed or prepared prior to handover. I mean it didn't look BAD but it was noticeable if you have an eye for such things. I took the car...

Are you using a case? So far I’ve read that the wireless charger works if you’re not using a case, or upside down with a case

UK 2021 Model 3 Q3 collection and delivery experiences

The SR+ supplied in the UK comes with carpet mats. This is now standard, it just seems the Tesla website hasn't been updated.

Is regen same across all models?

Yeah I noticed straight away, found myself using the brakes a little more rather than purely one pedal driving. It's not a massive difference, but I noticed something. Could also be something to do with the extra weight of the LR, perhaps the same regen force is being applied but it just has...

Is regen same across all models?

If it helps, I went from a June 2021 SR+ (LFP) to an August 2021 LR AWD and oddly I felt the regen braking to be slightly weaker than the SR+. I suspect part of it is the additional weight of the LR but it was a surprise.

UK 2021 Model 3 Q3 collection and delivery experiences

It seems to vary based on how much the detailer charges for labour (as it's primarily a labour cost) and what product is used but I used a well established detailer accredited by GTechniq, the car was in for 2 days having GTechniq Crystal Serum Ultra applied to the paintwork as well as a coating...

UK 2021 Model 3 Q3 collection and delivery experiences

They’re tricky enough to get off, does take a wee bit of force but be sensible and try to work some of the clips off before pulling to release the centre cap bit but they will come off. If you plan to take them off, do it fairly soon after delivery as over time they scratch and damage the...

UK 2021 Model 3 Q3 collection and delivery experiences

The first 1000 supercharger miles I got from referral showed up in my app immediately after handover, but I'm now due a second 1000 due to a second referral but neither of us are showing anything. No word back from my SA about it, but if I hear anything I'll post back

UK 2021 Model 3 Q3 collection and delivery experiences

Same! I referred a friend (and it's always shown up in my Tesla app - it showed their name and 'ordered', which now says 'delivered') but neither of us have got the 1000 miles. I've emailed my SA to query it.

UK 2021 Model 3 Q3 collection and delivery experiences

Picked up my LR (red, 19in wheels) from Belfast just over a week ago. No issues at all, seems perfect, except the bonnet seemed a little hazy with light microscratches which I put down to poor wash/prep prior to delivery I’d the car booked in with a local detailer who machine polished the...

Model 3 departure time not working correctly with update 2021.24.4

Mine seems to be working as normal with 2021.24.4, the last two charges I've done (67-75%, and 30-90%) both finished about 35 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time
  14. NATO

I have just lowered my suspension. One problem is when entering the parking under my building the under carage under the front wheels catch.

There's some pretty big speed bumps where I drive, I'm genuinely concerned about bottoming out even at stock. Definitely squeaky bum time going over them super slow.

    Acceleration Boost £1.5k

I bought the upgrade expecting to likely refund before the 48hr trial window expired but I really like it - it’s obviously not going to completely transform an already fast car but I definitely notice it feels ‘punchier’ in general, mostly at the low end but that translates into a really...

Based on your order date you're almost certainly going to get a car produced for Q4. Assuming the same pattern of production/shipping/deliveries as for the current and previous quarters the first ships arriving for Q4 deliveries would likely land in the UK mid-November for first deliveries end...

I ordered my LR while I still had my month-old SR+, and completed the finance application as part of the order process. Obviously the intention was to settle the SR+ finance prior to the delivery of the LR and my SA said he’d contact finance to let them know so it wouldn’t affect my finance...

I'm a Convert to Departure Time Scheduling

Just be aware that if you have scheduled departure enabled with the ‘off peak hours’ set it won’t use any power from the wall outside the off peak hours. Not a big deal but just FYI in case you have the car plugged in and expecting it to use the power from the wall to run the A/C for cabin...

    LFP battery in Model 3

Having owned a LFP SR+ I think it was great to have 100% capacity available (research I checked suggested 2.5% battery degradation after 100,000 miles vs 10% on the normal batteries). Interestingly, I always had high regen even at 100% SoC

    Tesla Loan

Personally I think PCP offers the most flexibility, to me the only benefit of the Tesla Loan is the lower interest rate if you KNOW you’re going to keep the car long term and plan to buy it outright. The reason I feel PCP is good is because you’ve got a lot of flexibility - you have the option...

The actual registration won't go 'live' with DVLA until you sign the paperwork on delivery. When you're insuring the car you can enter the registration but you'll need to just manually select the car as it won't find the registration.
