Wescom rate is misleading. I just spoke with them and they said the 2.24% rate is only if you meet their Platinum Status Membership which includes using their insurance, direct deposit, savings, checking, debit... Just setting up a savings and checking account would result in a 0.25% discount...

It looks like everyone is raising rates in the past week. Tesla pushing my my delivery 2 weeks is going to cost me another grand. Oh well. I will still likely love the car.

Maybe a silly question, leave it at 50% after a 90% charge or bring the battery below 50% and then set to 50%. My guess is that it doesn't really matter but I just wanted clarification if it made any difference of the pre-vacation charge level.

Not to take the thread off topic but that piece is my least favorite of the entire vehicle. Most of the vehicle has great finishes befitting a 6-figure sports car EXCEPT that cowl. When I have my arm resting on the arm rest my hand touches that cowl (when not on the steering wheel of course)...

This was me before the MS. My cars have always been in the $35-45k range. I once thought $60-70k was a crazy sum for me to spend on a car. I suppose the paddy wagon will be here for me soon. My wife and I both love every minute in our MS.

Daily status checks you say? Try every quarter hour. I will go from checking the status on the Dashboard to checking the status of my car on my iPhone. OCD sucks.

My board flipped into production today, woohoo! Bkenchan, if you have the beige interior our cars could be twins! I just upgraded my wheels to the 21" Grey Turbines - three days before going into production! I wonder if the holiday will impact shipping/delivery.

@e4chan. It's possible. I would guess that if they outsource only the cell production to Panasonic the recovery would be quicker since the ramp up time will be minimal. If they are outsourcing the entire pack production it may take longer. Their "secret sauce" is not the battery (cells) tech...

Progress!!! I finally received the e-mail tonight! My DS went ahead and scheduled me for delivery at Noon on 11/29 - Black Friday! I'll also be getting my MVPA and HPWC this week. Looks like Tesla will be making good on my original "Late November" delivery date. Woohoo!

Citizen-T is probably correct. I confirmed my P85 on 10/1. Didn't get a VIN until 10/22- 3 weeks later. When I confirmed it was quoted as "Later November". Now it's "December". I still do not have a production or delivery date. The "One Month Priority" is just marketing as fas as I can tell...

Haha. Me too. Unfortunately it wasn't in the cards for me as a kid. However, my wife and I are seriously considering it for the boys when they are older. I mean, they'll be riding around in the most advanced technology create by humans in a few weeks - why not show them some old tech? :tongue:

Despite some of the challenges folks have faced, I would have to say Tesla has the best customer service of any American auto manufacturer and easily challenges that of the global luxury brands. Congrats bareyb, looking forward to the glamour shots.
