I got a fire extinguisher as a "Christmas"gift from one of my colleagues. She pointed out that the extinguisher is certified to work on "battery"fires.. We had several sessions of Q/A regarding the tesla fires earlier. I am planning to give her a "gas card" with a note..' Thanks for the fire...
This is my first visit to a SC... So can't tell whether its common, but have seen photos of back to back chargers.
two sets of back to back and a single charger on each side.
no body is working( its Sunday)..but work-trailer is still there.. The transformers and other equipment is surrounded by...
Made it to Somerset Supercharger. All 6 bays are ready and functional. No other Tesla charging. Charging station is next to Wendys drive-through line.. Lot of curious looks.. few ICE drivers stopped by and asked questions.. Awareness of Tesla is low in the area..but with steady stream of MS stop...
Great pictures JakeP(and Newscutter). Congratulations on your one year anniversary. Mine is a month old today with 1100+ miles and counting. With the SC up, more people will be getting into TESLAs from WesternPA. I will be heading to somerset soon to try out the first supercharge.
Newscutter...
Excited since the Somerset Supercharger is confirmed. This will make my DC trips that much easier. I am about 40 mil north west to Somerset. Took my MS for a ride to the site. Some progress since Greg G took pictures. Concrete base was poured in for the transformer. No TESLA proprietary...
Mine too!!!
Production completed today..Started on 11/19
The dashboard, I believe is not updated as often as it is done internally.
But even DS can't tell exactly when it will complete( I spoke to him only yesterday)
Obviously, actual delivery depends on the transportation to SC(east...
I voted yes..
for two reasons
-the events related to debris are rare
-the difference in height is 20 mm(0.75 inch), so keeping the standard height would not eliminate the risk completely
The benefits of air suspension/auto lowering out weigh the risks IMO.
( however, I am not against Tesla...
This is the message I got from the Tesla service advisor, to my query, regarding Smart Air Suspension
---------- Forwarded message ----------
Date: Nov 9, 2013 3:45 PM
Subject: Air SuspensionAlso note that the steel spring suspension is the same height as the standard mode of the air...
Nothing specific. Just a general explanation that "the previous delivery date was based on the estimated production date at that time"
current production date is 11/25
I agree its not much in the scheme of things, but every little bit helps. :)
I thought, for the first time, I will get a buck out of my state, after paying taxes for 25 years..
Just got the dreaded call from myDS.
my delivery date is likely postponed from 12/5 to either 10,11 or 12..
anybody had similar calls for that time period?
concerned about the PA state EV incentive.. only around 140 more left--
States where Tesla Finance does not provide loans through Wells Fargo or US Bank. In these states, they have an understanding with TechCU, to provide loans to qualify for RVG.
I want the RVG.
I live in a "non Tesla" state. I could go with TechCU....or could go with Wells Fargo- but need to complete the loan papers in a "Tesla" state( which I could do)
these are the rates I got..
Wells Fargo. 10% down, 60 M---2.24% with RVG. Even though I did not take delivery of the...
Mine is S85 too. Delivery on 12/5.
TechCU gives one month lock but said they might extend by couple of weeks.
I will start comparison shopping next week--that gives me a 6 week window.
Thanks AIMc, SamGarber, JST for the input.
closer to the 1 month window, I will check with both TM finance and TechCU-and finalize the best rate.
I think, I can do either of the options( luckily, 1 week before the delivery I will be in NYC)
DS guiding me to only option for RVG is go through Tech CU, for non-TESLA states
they will finance 85% with 2.99 for 60 months. any longer term will increase the rate
do you have to pay extra for delivery? or included in the destination fee?
P25308
confirmed 10/6
Delivery date fixed for 12/5/2013
really interested in getting RVG.
being out of the TESLA finance states, going through the hoops..
any input is appreciated.
Congratulations. try to get some sleep!!!
are they delivering to your place or picking it up at SC?
BTW i was going over your posts in the finance thread...
finally did you go through TechCU? what is the rate and percentage you financed.?
did you get in writing that RVG is valid with Tech CU...
The delay in delivery appears real. My November preferred is changed to early December( a reply to my enquiry from the Build-team).
I confirmed on 10/6 and surprisingly got a VIN # on 10/7..
I confirmed 10/6/13: P25308..initially they said delivery late november.
today I got a reply from Build-team that they don't have a specific date, but delivery early December :cursing:
Thanks for your input. I am happy with my selection.
Thanks doctrewho. No idea, but they should assign the VIN # soon after confirming.
