Yeah, if you don’t have lidar , the wipers have to be powered on when using AP. Sometimes they just go off for no reason, and when you turn them off, you lose AP. Something to do with cameras and Tesla Vision

I can only tell you my experience for the last several weeks of shopping. Go look at the used Tesla inventory--almost all of them come with FSD and I don't think there's much of a mark up on price for them having it.

I've found the interior camera to do nothing. I've used Navigate on AP for long highway stretches checking my email and the nothing's happened. I don't make a habit of this, by the way.

I have a '21 SR+ with FSD. I've had pretty long stretches of highway checking email without the car disengaging. I'm not sure the cabin camera does much of anything, really (I know what it is supposed to do).

Yeah, AP and Autosteer as currently constituted are just great. If the FSD becomes that smooth and there is a subscription option, I will try it.

When you say "partial autonomy," do you mean FSD or regular AP? I only have regular AP and it is incredibly useful on long or medium drives. AP is only "partial autonomy," but I find it very useful.
