Wow fantastic start to the day for my portfolio! Every company I own shares/options in (JASO, SPWR, CSIQ) are up nicely. Looks like I pulled out of JKS in time too. Only one down besides SOL and LDK that I can see. I'm definitely reentering JKS at a later time once the dilution spooking wears off.

Anybody else having issues with the TCI forums?

I think now that the vast majority of solar ERs are over people can sit and contemplate the future demand of the industry. It seems that this ER season just kept adding negative news to the fire and brought everyone down. Now that people have placed their bets I can see the sector recovering...

This was my exact thinking last month and why I hadn't bought any SOL shares. But I went against my better judgement earlier this week and bought some shares for ER. Disappointing but I feel like its a good opportunity soon to load up at a cheaper price. The only thing that I'm confused about...

SOL's ER is actually Dec 5th. And yea JKS and TSL both had great ERs its just a shame on the timing of that article. It completely killed the TSL post earnings bump. And took a lot of the gains away from the other solars that they have accumulated in the past couple weeks. If JASO does good next...

Personally I prefer internal combustion vehicles, but thats not based on dislike for Tesla or their cars. I think their cars are fantastic and I really hope they succeed. That said though, my list of "wants" in the car world does not have a Model S anywhere near the top. I just love working on...

Agreed. Sleepy and others have made it pretty clear that trying to make sense of short term movements in the solar industry at the moment is a waste of energy :)

I don't think SOL or JASO are going to rally like the others until their ERs come out. The other solars have already proved their worth, now its time for those two to prove they are worth investing in (to the rest of wallstreet not to us).

I thought I was being sneaky buying some JKS shares today when it was down 1.4% shortly after market open :tongue:. Then sure enough we get a sale later on in the day. All of my solars are back under water again except for CSIQ and a JASO call :rolleyes:.

Interesting development. That would make sense why chinese solars were hit today. Interested to see others thoughts on this.

I really don't think the solar performance today has anything to do with TSL's ER. If that was the case TSL would not have been up as much as it was. Like sleepy said, this is just the way things go with solars. He's been tracking them for awhile so I'm sure he knows what hes talking about ;)

Pretty much all the solars are in the red today...Makes no sense.

Oh wow last I checked it was only down 0.4. Maybe people were getting nervous when we got near 4000.

Well dang, most of the solars surrendered their gains today. JKS still up 14% though which is good.

Looks like RSOL is doing the same thing. They are getting hammered today.

I sold all my shares that I purchased this past week (after I saw that 5 insiders bought shares) for a minimal loss, but I still have some $2 Jan '15 LEAPS that are sitting at atleast a 55% loss at the moment. I figure it can't hurt to hold those and see where the stock goes. I'm just not sure...

Something drastic is going to need to happen inside NAVB for this to turn around. They are burning through way too much cash with everything they are trying to develop right now. Lymphoseek is not going to bring in enough capital to offset their expenses. I really want to see this company...

I bought a call for JKS to play on earnings, but its nothing large. Just felt like doing something while I sit on the rest of my investments for the time being :)

I probably should be stated it differently: NASDAQ profit taking from yesterday. I don't think its going to correct in the next few days but one never knows.

NASDAQ sell off like I expected. CSIQ and JASO should rebound, theres no reason why they wouldn't. Nothing but good news coming from both of them. Now we just need to get confirmation of SOL's ER date and I'll be a happy camper :)

Nice on the CSIQ price bump! I don't know why but I feel really good about JASO going into Nov 26th. SOL I'm still not sure on. They are either sandbagging by not putting out any news, or they just don't have anything especially good to report going into earnings.

Well you have to remember that part of the ER is already priced in since they pre-announced. So between the two days its close to 20%.

Solar sector is looking decent even with the overall market down.

Even if we don't see a pop today from CSIQ, I'm still excited for the long term of this company. Looks like demand is great and is only going to get better in the next couple years!

This is one thing I always have a good chuckle over.

Its mainly because there hasn't been any news from them recently. As sleepy has said previously, these stocks tend to flatline and flutter out if there isn't a news coming in.

YGE and HSOL took big hits but most of the other solars aren't affected too much by the earnings announcements. The NASDAQ was down market open so thats probably why the solars were red. Although nows probably a good time for some SOL since it took the biggest hit that I saw outside of YGE and...

Yep I agree. This would spook people into thinking there was possibly need for a recall all over again. I wouldn't count on a run up anytime soon, but hopefully the stock won't take on any more water.

I purchased some at $1.52 for two reasons. 1)Management is showing support of the stock which should give people some confidence back 2) Yesterday had a nice hammer formation so I hope that we've seen bottom.

Well CSIQ already preannounced most of their earnings info and that can be attributed to their climb to $28. From what sleepy says about JASO, theres no definite proof that they will kill it during earnings this season. I'm not sure about JKS.

I saw explained over on InvestorVillage that there is a 45 day delay between actual payment and the money showing up on reports. So the numbers next quarter should be more impressive. Either way the fact it hit $1.11 is just rediculous. Bounced back rather quickly though, which is a good sign.
