I hope it works out for you. I asked them to delay a few days due to my house closing and they unmatched me. Asked if I could keep the vin and just pick it up next week and they said no. So now I have no vin and no delivery date. Luckily I am doing outside financing so I havent paid for the car yet.

I must have missed where they removed AEB. It hasnt been tested by the NHTSA yet. We will see what happens when they test it.

I spoke to my service advisor today and he said they would sent my car to Austin before receiving payment from my credit union and they just have to have proof of payment for pickup. They said they used to require payment before sending the car but that is not their current process.

You can always put your delivery on hold. Thats what I did after my SA advised me to since I didnt know the closing date of my house. Once the closing was finalized, I clicked the "Im Ready" button and am now waiting... patiently, sort of.

They dont need you to put in your insurance info until after you get a vin. They will still ship the car to Texas as long as you have the other info filled out.

Why should you file an insurance claim? You weren’t driving it. If anything, THEY should file a claim with their insurance. Next blast em on Yelp, BBB, and Twitter and see how quickly they will get their act together.

Sounds like the shop is really taking care of you. I would be pretty pissed but accidents happen. The main job of the safety systems are to prevent major accidents and in my experience, these kind of low speed collisions are frequently missed by the driver assistance features.
