I know there are plenty of similar threads, so I'll make this short and to the point. I owned a P85 for 6 weeks, and took delivery of a new P85+ earlier this week. Tex is right.. the + makes a huge difference, especially to someone like myself who comes from a high end sports car background...

I just couldn't live with it. Coming from the cars I've owned, I am the prime demographic for a P85+. I just happened to get into the wrong car, and I needed to correct that.

I texted my buddy tech at the Tesla service center and he said 140nm or 103 ft lbs. My toe link bolts were at freakin 50 nm. Barely even on there. I torqued them down to 135nm, they wouldn't go any tighter. Excited to see what kind of impact this has on my issues. Pretty unnerving to think...

Not to resurrect an old thread, but this is exactly what my P85 does. Under full acceleration it drifts to the right. Both rear tires are exactly 41psi.

The PreDip spray is not 100% necessary, it just works very well. Soap, water and then rubbing alcohol can work too

I'm rolling with OEM 21's now (non + P85). Just ordered staggered aftermarket, 9" fronts and 10.5" rears. Hopefully I'll have some positive feedback to report re: increased traction and handling.

Going to dealership tomorrow - hoping they have time for an alignment check. The more I test this, the more it almost feels like under hard throttle the nose of the car wobbles left to right instead of following a straight line.

Checked torque specs on lug nuts today, and they were right at 129 ft lbs.. So I checked that off the list. Going in to visit the dealership tomorrow. Hopefully I can have someone drive the car and give me an idea of what's going on.

Well for me it's certainly reality. Reality in the sense that if I accelerate under full throttle, keep the wheel straight, and don't correct - I'll be in another lane lol

I found a couple links with people running 285's in the rear. The wheels I'm looking at are only offered in 20" and 22", not 21". 22" x 9" fronts, but 22" x 10.5 for rears going to fit? I'm getting my google work on, but not finding much

Just called the service down here in Dania, FL. Service Manager said he assumes it's the AC compressor working extra hard in the FL heat. Next time it happens, turn OFF AC, see if the noise stops. If it does, I'm good. If it doesn't, bring it in. One thing I'm just not used to in this car...
