Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
Hello wk057, great work :)
Could you specify the "maximum charge level reduced" error which occurs more and more often, what happens inside these Packs?
Why seem only the 60/70/85 type Packs to be affected?
I think there are way more possible faults than only imbalance Problems.

There are some S and X's, I guess early cars, labelled with 75D but got the "85kwh" 400V Packs with old chemistry.
The charging curve shows exactly what 85/P85/P85D charged in their glory Years.

This recordings show the old curve.
I got 130kW in my P85. When the Car was new it was only 116kw. But guess what? Adding 40kWh to the battery increased from 26minutes to 35min. Its the fast tapering of the chargerate, thats so annoying
Thanks for the Information, wk.

Any interrelation to the high vampire drain on firmware 2020.48 (on MCU1, not caused by MCU upgrade...) ?
Thank you!
- What happens in the cell chemistry that Supercharging must be throtteled over time?
- What happens if tesla didn't slow down Supercharging in that Update (or youre on old Firmware), Will it damage the Battery? What exactly will damage?
- Why did Tesla throttle all 85/70, no matter if there...
