2012 P85 - Got the warranty because car was so new at that point and fear of high cost of repairs. Had a lot of minor fixes early on, nothing major. Since going past std 4 yr warranty and into ESA it has paid for itself. Center screen bubble replacement, fan issue that required entire driver...

Same problem. Scratches and dents on metal and leather(premium leather) starting to fray just below the metal.

Usually never buy extended warranties on anything. But given new company and technology and potential huge cost to repair I got it at the initial $2400 price. I have had enough items fixed that I think it makes sense to have the "insurance".

You have to love Tesla Service. I posted my note yesterday. Received a call this afternoon from service that they saw my post and scheduled appt to replace screen/unit. They said very rare occurrence but if it looked like above it needed to be replaced.

DH - Did you figure out what this was and get it fixed by SC? I have these forming on my 2 yr old car and yes I did remove the screen film. Thanks Rich

Add me to the list. Rear driver side window is down and won't operate. I can push it up manually but it falls again. Already had the regulator replaced on drivers door 6 weeks ago. They may need to QC the regulators they are using.

I had this happen with the 4.2 update. Call the service center, they contacted engineering who called me while I waited in my car. They recalibrated over the air and it worked right away. About a 10 minute process. I hope your fix is as simple.

Edited - Error this is for their car buying service only, feel free to use for that but not Tesla. 1.49% remains the 60 month rate for Tesla. I used them and while it was not seamless transaction, it worked. thanks for catch Sidney as if the link name was not enough for me...doh Penfed sent...

Banks are all different. Penfed, who a few folks are using because of 1.49% int rate for 60 month loan requires a final MPVA showing the exact amount of the loan. So you will need to send in the balance ahead of time to give them time to cut and send the check. Leave yourself a couple of days...

I have not had that conversation yet....but good idea :). They had to hand write them on the due bill and they seemed as surprised as me that they were not on the car. May just be a anomaly but really looking forward to seeing the grey wheels on my grey car.

Anyone else not get the grey performance wheels they ordered and have them on due bill? I got car on Dec 13th and was just informed it will be min of 30-60 days wait. It is fine to use their 19s in the meantime but shocked about the length of delay and wondering if others are receiving theirs...

R113 is home after factory pick up today. Heavy traffic on ride home can test ones patience when you want to open it up. Due bill includes 21 Perf Wheels and parcel shelf. I think I am going to have some fun with the 19s in the meantime. Nice to have wheels to practice parking on ;)

Correct. Perhaps it is the no front plate delivery upgrade program :wink: I asked the rep how things look and he said delivery is soon and quoted those estimated dates from the system. In reply to Fusco

Just called Tesla to confirm no front license plate install and they said delivery date info is now available on my car. They are estimating for R113 October 28-November 11th.

Great post! After a couple of negative threads regarding warranty/service etc this helped remind me why I am getting this car. I am excited to hear more about your experience once you have had the car for a while.

Is anyone else concerned that the front seat leather shows wrinkles/wear in almost every photo of them? Is this due to test drive use? Is it possible these are beta seats and not final design/leather?

Given I am in Bay Area, I will get dropped off with the family at factory in Fremont so everyone can get the tour and then drive home.

I am having trouble locating it but I believe Outsider posted pictures of the manual for the Model S shown on the display. It did show the ability to open the doors via a sensor in the wheel well on the passenger side by placing the key there. Maybe someone else can locate the post.
