I just wanted to follow up and say thanks again to everyone who responded. Tesla Mobile Service came out and replaced my charge port door today and now it works every time from almost 3ft away! Plus they let me keep the old door in case I break it (since it still technically works).

Thanks for the info! Yeah I definitely figured it was either broken superchargers or user error, but it just seems so consistent across chargers that it feels like a software issue. For example, I found that it takes about the same amount of time before the door eventually opens on its own...

I had the same concern, but my SA let me know that loans through Tesla Financing are good for 60-90 days depending on the lender. Not sure if you went through Tesla for financing or not, but if you did you're probably ok.

This is pretty normal right now, I have a feeling they are working through a backlog. I ordered 3/26 but didn’t get a VIN until last Wednesday. No, from what I have later learned, financing is good for 60-90 days so you are safe getting financing immediately for the most part. Your trade in though, I'd asked you sales advisor for when to do that. Since it expires in 30 days it's a little more of a concern. I'd just wait until closer to...

Right, that won’t make a difference either. Once you accept delivery, Tesla gets the full amount from you and your lender. So ultimately if they need the cash, the fastest route is to get you a car.
