    Supercharger - Euless, TX

I drive by here a lot and always wondered why this supercharger seems so busy. Watching today, most of the charging traffic seems to be M3s with drivers wearing high-vis vests, an airport ID, and grease pencil markings of some kind on the car windows. I can only assume it's rental cars from...

    Car wash - Dallas area

I know I am resurrecting a old/zombie thread, but I became aware of two touchless car wash facilities in the mid cities area. The washyourstuff.com apparently has them in Keller and Grapevine. I did not use them on my Model S (it still gets a hand wash by me), but I did recently use the...

I was putting around town on a few errands last week and my phone's Tesla app Safety Score rated me "99" (safe) and cut my Tesla insurance monthly premium by about 40%. Go figure.

I checked as well and noted an initial price that was less than my current Amica policy (which I think is pretty good as I have shopped it around many times). The monthly cost with Tesla insurance is about 30% less.

Negative Camber in the Rear and Expensive Tires

Guys and gals, I'm waiting to accept delivery of my 2020 Model X LR+. I got it on 22" rims. Do I need to proactively buy camber arms for rear and toe and plan to put them on when I get my Model X? Or is this issue only seen on older models? If it was me I would have the rear toe in (at a...

Negative Camber in the Rear and Expensive Tires

This thread is almost all about the fat, expensive, 21" rear tires, where the inner wear, and toe settings are pretty critical. 19" tires don't exhibit issues unless toe is very badly set for a lot of miles. On the fat 21" rears, a little wrong can be seen in a few thousand miles.

How I doubled my tire life

To be clear as the prior 2 posts indicate, this is about the rear wheel alignment. Front has a hair of toe out. Never heard of anyone wearing the inner tires on fronts, my P85+ is RWD. And most euro cars have so much negative camber it is easy to see just driving around and looking at the...

How I doubled my tire life

This all was a hot topic 6 years ago when Tesla had issues running alignments properly, and always exacerbated on 21" fat tires. 19" tires had to have a really bad alignment to see it. The main culprit was setting rear toe-in correctly and then to maximize tire life, setting to the minimum...

Forget the truck (please), can we talk about that trainwreck of a reveal?

Alas, in 2022 goobers will be throwing stuff at my truck (or shooting it) to see what happens. What were they thinking? :( Maybe they'll have free warranty/insurance to replace the glass and repair the bullet holes as a result. Some might remember the battery armor in 2014.

    DFW Airport Charging Rant!

I thought some of the Tesla stores had a reasonable and inexpensive filter for preserving parking around their charger and outlet array with a little plastic chain around the spot. Most ICEers won't go so far as to get out and move the EV only chain out of the way to ICE a charging spot, will...

Sorry, I've been asleep for a while, but... Don't they fence in the $200K of equipment anymore? I've never seen it sitting in the open. A lot of equipment to be running loose outside of its corral, potentially getting into mischief. I thought they penned it all in to protect the equipment...

Negative Camber in the Rear and Expensive Tires

Most of the original postings had to do with the air spring P85+ cars with 265/35ZR-21 tires that, because of their profile, amplified toe errors, and to some degree, benefited from aftermarket camber-reducing parts and careful attention to rear (toe) alignment. In large part that issue has...
