The insurance info is not required to get profile complete (at least in states where you can't secure insurance until after VIN assignment). YMMV

The obvious question: Is your profile complete? I would hope whomever you spoke with would have check it... but... you never know. Have you changed anything about your order? That is known to reset you in line.

What as the EDD before? Not surprised with EOQ going to be all west coast (mostly CA), before starting to send cars out east again in october. Probably not going to see many cars coming to NJ the last 2 weeks of september unless they were already in transit.

I received my VIN on 8/10. EDD at that point was showing 8/20-8/31.

Yes it is true that there is currently NO sales tax on a pure EV in NJ. If you can squeeze in under $55k, there is even a $2k rebate available (but with current base price increase, not really much room for many options to stay under $55k).

There is usually no explanation for dates :) When did you order/remove from hold is what matters to guess when you might get a car. May orders (mine included, are looking like august). June is probably end aug-sept, july looking like oct-nov based on other data points.

So my order was a week before yours, I removed my hold 3 days before you (your first one on June 1) and have I not seen a single VIN. Only difference is color.. yours is red, mine is blue. The wait continues, current EDD July 30-Aug18

When get assigned a vin, if you don't have the details in your signature, can you provide when you ordered (or removed from hold) and the configuration. Gives those of us still waiting "maybe" some insight into if their build is getting closer.

It's a gamble that is for sure. It is a wash for me as there have been $2k in price increases since my order, so if I get it great, if not, then the car ends up being the same net price as reordering (less the $100 re-order fee) and I have a chance at getting it sooner with my earlier order date.

It seem fairly obvious the program was modified to disadvantage Tesla owners from claiming the vast majority of the rebates (total $$$) given that 83% of the rebates were Tesla last year. Right now a base MY barely fits in the 45-55k category. M3 has a bit more breathing room to add options.
