Issue of having 1 NEMA 14-50 receptacle and 2 EV cars

We have a Model Y and a Q4 E-tron and charge both using the NeoCharge. It's plugged into a Nema 14-50 outlet on a 50amp breaker. I have the Q4 set at 20amps and the Model Y at 20amps for simultaneous charging on their respective mobile connectors. Works great with no issues.

Tesla has officially removed the mobile connector as a standard accessory with every new car purchase; now a $400 separate purchase

I use the mobile charger and a Nema 14-50 adapter daily. We have a Model Y and a Q4 e-tron. We have a 240v Nema 14-50 outlet in our garage with a NeoCharge smart splitter. Both the Q4 mobile connector and the Tesla mobile connector plugged into the smart splitter. The outlet is on a 50amp...

    Scheduled Charging

I wonder if it’s because the car doesn’t know it’s plugged into the charge cable before it goes to sleep due to the charger cable not being powered and it can’t send a signal to the car. When I have scheduled charging on and I plug the car in, it will pull power briefly to check the amps/volts...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

And you think keeping Depp in a Pirates movie at the height of his accusations wouldn’t have hurt the ticket sales of the movie? It took years and a defamation trial for the truth to come out. That’s what I’m saying about Musk. It will take a long time for the truth to come out and until then...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Whether it’s true or not, this will damage SpaceX and Tesla’s reputation as long as Musk is CEO. A lot of people believe the press whether you do or not.

Supercharger - St. Louis, MO (BarK)

I see your point of view. Looks like the dog park has food and drinks if you read the reviews and you’re charging while they’re open. It could have better amenities but at least it’s not completely bare.

Tesla has officially removed the mobile connector as a standard accessory with every new car purchase; now a $400 separate purchase

Tesla has officially removed the mobile connector as a standard accessory with every new car purchase; now a $400 separate purchase

These cars have months long wait times. Is it wrong that I don’t feel bad for people that don’t take the time to research how to charge an EV they’re spending $50k+ on? Charge at a supercharger, buy a Tesla mobile charger if it’s in stock, buy a wall connector, or buy a J1772 mobile charger with...

Elon stops providing mobile connector/says “you're on your own”

They get away with it because they know people will still buy the cars. Nobody likes it but cost and parts reduction moves like this will continue as demand remains high.

Tesla has officially removed the mobile connector as a standard accessory with every new car purchase; now a $400 separate purchase

Tesla can get away with this due to high demand. No one likes it but people will still buy the cars. Once demand tapers off in a year or two they might include the charger again.

Tesla has officially removed the mobile connector as a standard accessory with every new car purchase; now a $400 separate purchase

My car knew it was plugged into my mobile connector and it pushed a firmware update to my mobile connector. The car knows what device you use to charge and it sends the data back to Tesla if it is a Tesla device

    Still hate v11

In about a year, the people that have experienced software before v11 will be in the minority. I agree that things should always be improved. I just don't think it's as big as a deal as some people make it. One of the first things a longer Tesla owner will say to a new owner is: Old Owner...

    Still hate v11

I remember the argument that a phone should always have a number pad or keyboard buttons. Now phones with buttons are in the minority. Cars will go the same way. Less input is the future. They’re developing for future cars to have no steering wheel. You’re correct in saying the current main...

    Still hate v11

I didn’t say FSD was their main priority. I said autonomy as a whole. They’d make the mirrors on the car autonomous with eye tracking if they could.
  47. A

    Still hate v11

Tesla’s main priority is autonomy. I honestly think you’ll keep being dissapointed with this company until you realize this and move on.
