I had the same experience. I had the Feb $1k cheaper pricing and when I asked about changing the configuration they said I'd go to the current pricing. You should be able to keep the order on hold for 4-6 months from the time you submitted the order without any impact though.

It would be helpful to know how the car was stolen. Either they 1. have your phone, 2. have your key card, or 3. hacked the software. Your response is probably based on which method they got the car.

Is there an easy way to check on new deliveries to see if it's been added but not shared? I think on the model X it requires pulling out the frunk which is not something most people would likely do.

It could easily be 6 months or more before tax credits would be available. As TravelFree said, it depends when you need a car. If you can play the waiting game for up to a year you may be rewarded, but no guarantee.
