I have my VIN, delivery scheduled, and financing approved... still no payment portal. Tesla told me it should appear within a few days of the contract being underwritten and completed. On day 1 of waiting for that.

Seems like Tesla could develop a similar solution backed by Tesla that would be a simple way to offer a retrofit instrument cluster and CarPlay/Android Auto for the 3/Y. Think that is in the cards at all?

I assume it was in inventory as he could not get a straight answer on when (or if) my MSM would be built, but I’m not certain. He said he could get blue in the same configuration and I accepted. I was debating switching to blue anyway so that worked out!

I have delivery scheduled for 3/15. My SA has been great and was able to match me with a 116xxx VIN. SR MY 7 / blue / black int / 19” / no tow / no FSD. I changed from MSM to blue to get a match. I don’t know what updates it will have, but none of them have been deal breakers for me.

Have you been able to get ahold of your SA or can you stop by the service center?

We did this with the third row up in the MY 7 on display at our local dealership. It does prop up, but I think the seats were leaned back or the lid was the wrong way as it kept falling.

True or slimy SA's trying to score upgrades? Not sure if they are paid commission to be motivated for such behavior. There are a few SR 5 seat MY's available at our local dealer. No word from our SA lately on the factory pause or status of our 7 seat order.

Is there some news about the Texas freeze causing parts delay for Tesla?

It's a little disheartening that there are 89 SR Y's available in inventory, yet don't believe they are 7 seat. I'm guessing the bulk of the 7 seat versions will be produced and shipped here in the next few weeks.

My thought is there are only going to be more superchargers and other charging stations, so range will become less about literally not making it, and more about just having more frequent stops. Elon’s comments surprise me as 1.) I assume he ultimately signed off on the SR release a few weeks...

Like... they have seven seat SR Ys available now? Many of us with the SR on order are VIN-less and not expecting deliveries until mid-late March.

If you’re paying the same price over 36-48 months why not just buy it outright and have it included in the lease/loan? I thought the point for folks leasing was that they would be paying full price over and over. Seems like the term length should be longer (10 years?).

I’m not a policy buff but I personally don’t understand how that would be possible. Congress is still wrapping up the stimulus bill. The Green Act likely is weeks, if not months away assuming no other distractions. Would like to hear from others more educated on it though.

When looking at source code on the order page to find your VIN, does everyone have the old Model X VIN before you receive your actual VIN? Is that a sign of progress?

We are in KC - SR/MSM/Black interior/7 Seat ordered 1/12/21, estimated delivery today (2/9) to 2/16 - our SA said to expect a VIN by the end of this week, which he said would mean it has left the factory. I hope that's true but trying not to get hopes up.
