The service will be in 2.5 weeks and is estimated to take 4 hours of technician time. Not sure what’s involved but I wouldn’t be surprised and wouldn’t be too concerned if they needed to drop the battery to install the seal.

I don’t mind that sound. This is a slightly lower frequency whine than that of the vehicle under heavy acceleration but is louder and grating even at constant speed under minimal load. We put 25k miles on our ‘21 MY and don’t mind the acceleration/regen noise at all; this is different and terrible.

haha one day I will be able to flip cars that frequently. I tend to keep equipment and big ticket items for quite some time. My 2010 4runner purchased new now has just over 200k miles. I bet I’ll have some massive fomo after they go with integrated batteries which have longer range.

Nuts. Hard to imagine higher end/more refreshed model y’s being delivered abroad yet unavailable here in NA for a similar price point. Doesn’t sit well with me.

Honestly, I wish they would come out with all of the known updates and offer a discount to those who don’t care or would be happier with a cheaper version of the car without hepa/lights/etc.

Eek! Tough decision man. I would be kind of on the fence as well. The headlight and hepa update would be really important to me being in PNW with wildfires and we get a bunch of rain which makes visibility challenging at times. Let us know what you decide and what went into the decision!
