    Why a Y Needs Mud Guards/Flaps

The anchor i used has a flared end that should keep it from poking through the mudflap. Both the anchor and mudflap plastics are really tough. I doubt they would ever deform enough to push through. If they do, i will deal with it then. Glad you mentioned that concern though, because it is...

    Why a Y Needs Mud Guards/Flaps

I would just back put the screw a little and pull out the screw that is attached to the anchor. I would not need to be able to access it from the back side of the hole, if that is what you are asking.

    Why a Y Needs Mud Guards/Flaps

I had one hole in the back that was misaligned and used a drywall anchor and screw. Still holding like a champ.

    Hitch Cover Modification.

I like that setup, easier to pull on and off and really cheap to do. I ended up buying the Torqueliftcentral mod kit that is a bit expensive for what it is but uses a super strong magnet screwed to a extension bracket that reaches the inside of the hitch receiver. The mod kit has one cut all of...

    Why a Y Needs Mud Guards/Flaps

There is no harm in trying double sided tape, but I would be nervous about dirt and water eventually wearing away the adhesive and losing the mud flap while driving. I got the right angle bit shipped from Home Depot for 15 bucks, well worth it IMO to have the mud flaps held super secure by the...

    Why a Y Needs Mud Guards/Flaps

Nope, I did not have to heat anything. I just popped the original clips out with a thin flat screwdriver. The only trouble I had with the install is that I initially tried to do it without the right angle driver bit, but that is definitely not possible without taking the wheels off. I just had...

    Why a Y Needs Mud Guards/Flaps

Those EVmudflaps.com mud flaps work great. I have them on my MY and highly recommend them. A lot of my neighborhood consists of barely maintained dirt roads, and the paint has had no damage thus far.

    Model Y Driving Experience

The MY LR AWD suspension is not rough. With the stock tires, you will feel more road imperfections, but I would not call it harsh or bouncy. Cars I have owned that I would describe as harsh in comparison to the MY are a 2007 Civic Si, a 2013 WRX, and a 2014 Focus SE. I switched to the MY from a...

Lifted, smaller wheels, bigger tires - update

Nothing done to the rocker panels. The only external mod I have installed other than those listed in my previous post are a set of EVmudflaps.com mud flaps.

3rd Party 4 Wheel Alignment Providers

Electrified Garage has a new location one hour way in Occala. I live in NH, and I got my lift, alignment, and wheels and tires installed at their original Seabrook NH location earlier this week. I highly recommend sending them an email!

Lifted, smaller wheels, bigger tires - update

Here is my Winter wheel and tire setup, just installed and aligned yesterday by Electrified Garage in Seabrook, NH. I have the MPP lift, Cooper Discoverer True North 245/55 R18 tires, and TSW Nurburgring 18x9 +32mm wheels. The pics don’t show that well how beefy the car looks now. I live in a...

post up 18inch wheels that fit Model Y

I should add that I bought my wheels through EVtuning.com, as their selection of wheels are tailored for Teslas, including a bunch of 18 inch options. That made it a lot simpler to find ones with matching center bore, pitch circle diameter, etc.

post up 18inch wheels that fit Model Y

Willtheyfit.com is a great resource to compare the fit of any wheel/tire combo against the stock set. I have the MY LR AWD. I am getting my MPP lift kit installed this week, along with Cooper Discoverer True North 245/55 R18 tired mounted on gunmetal TSW Nurburgring 18x9 +32mm wheels. The...
