I’m in Hong Kong. My PEM and a battery leaf gave up in May 2019. I decided to upgrade rather than repair, and have just received a message saying they are ready to ship the battery to HK. They cannibalised my battery for other Roadsters.

One reason for the growth in private car ownership is the cap on new taxi and bus licenses. If people can't get public transport they'll buy private cars. We need more (ideally low emission) buses and taxis. Presently, Uber is our only hope for relieving congestion.

My DS tells me the first batch arrived last week and is being type-approved. Said likely available before CNY. I'm trading in my MS, but will retain the registration number, which will take a few days, so expect to receive my X after CNY.

I agree with @garethmcchau - wheels are essentially disposable!

Your main circuit board should have a few spare slots, and, as suggested above, you could ask your electrician to run a separate cable for your charger - I can't imagine that would be a very large additional fee above the existing charge for wiring in your charger, and far cheaper than burning...

I think Tesla could allow the car to unlock the supercharger cable once charging was complete - perhaps showing a single steady green light to alert other drivers, who could then unplug the car and plug in their car - assuming there is space to park within reach of the cable?
