2013 Tesla Model S with new 90 kWH battery - So FL

It shows all the same stuff as with the original 60 battery. I’ll ask Tesla service if it can be changed though.

2013 Tesla Model S with new 90 kWH battery - So FL

Probably because they would need to do a software change for that display. Its originally a 60kwh model so that’s my guess.

Introducing the Frozen Grey Tesla with shadowline trim

Not yet. Instead of putting the cash down on the wheels, I put it in some Tesla and solar stocks. Will eventually pull the trigger but probably will wait longer and then give the car a refresh.

Pros/Cons of Standard and Performance Seats

I've have the regular leather black seats. I've had the car since mid July and I notice that the seat bolster on the driver side where you have to initially sit has shown some wearing out of proportion to the rest of the seat. It's sort of like a wrinkling from when it gets compressed. I never...

    Short-Term TSLA Price Movements - 2013

    Short-Term TSLA Price Movements - 2013

Is anyone buying common shares right now? I'm a buy and hold investor since I'm so new but enjoy reading these posts for educational purposes. Last time I bought was at $179 and was thinking there would be a pullback but of course that hasn't occurred. My long term expectation is that TSLA...

I'd sign up. I learned a long time ago that I cannot be an expert in everything. Your knowledge and experience surpasses any that I could hope to achieve as my time to devote to learning this is limited. I would sign up immediately. Of course I realize that there are no guarantees so any...

Introducing the Frozen Grey Tesla with shadowline trim

While I've been waiting to the pull the trigger on aftermarket wheels, I thought I'd do a quick and dirty coat of plastidip on my wheels. I really like the color combination and think it makes for a more aggressive look. Unfortunately the plastidip doesn't seem to be super durable so will...

Best Car in The Doctor's Lot

Another radiologist here but I'm in Miami, FL. Had it since July 10th and I love it. No other Teslas in the hospital parking lot. I got a matte wrap and am thinking about upgrading to some aftermarket wheels. We'll see.

60 KWH vs. 85 KWH, high mileage and warranty

With battery swapping, it may also be worth it to use the 60 battery for a few years and then swap out to the larger capacity and keep it for the price difference. All depends on how much this will cost but at least upfront can reduce your expense by 10K

    I95 Express toll exemption

In one of the threads, it mentions that you should remove your sunpass if using the express lanes. Is this true? I was hoping that the system would recognize that new decal or cancel each other out. It doesn't seem logical since a lot of people have the sticker version.

    Dots above USB ports

I read somewhere that the car's computer is here. That is why the armrests do not lift into storage. I agree that it can be some sort of ventilation but not really sure.

    Supercharger Spacing

That's what I assumed regarding your prior post that you were balancing time efficiency of the entire trip with travel speed and needed charging time. Makes sense.

    Supercharger Spacing

I'm not quite sure what assumptions you made with the spreadsheet (balancing max speed versus needed charge time for best overall trip length?). However, real life driving from Miami, FL to the new Port St. Lucie supercharger was 113 miles for me. Without any drafting or other distance...

I think blacking out the chrome would look amazing on the blue, especially with the darker wheels. Even without the dark wheels, it's a vast improvement.

Introducing the Frozen Grey Tesla with shadowline trim

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I had been waffling about what to do with my wheels but I've decided to go with the gloss black powder coat for sure. I like the idea of keeping some items looking relatively stock. I had previously worried about their size but yesterday I parked next to a...

Car wrapping and tint for new Model S

I'm in Miami and I did it to protect the paint. The cost of a partial clear "paint armor" was a few hundred less than a full wrap with color change so I went with the full wrap. In my case, the car is stored in a garage mostly and only parked in the sun a few days a week. There are a ton of...

Club Meet-Up For The Port St. Lucie Supercharger Ribbon Cutting 7/24

I was thinking of going to the ribbon cutting ceremony but I have a 60 and am coming from Miami. I will definitely have to charge up and unfortunately can't stay very long. Anyone have any idea how long a wait could be for the superchargers? I know it's not an easy question but maybe someone...

Introducing the Frozen Grey Tesla with shadowline trim

Introducing the Frozen Grey Tesla with shadowline trim

Depending on how you maintain, the guy who did mine said about 4 years. I'll take pics of the frunk and trunk open as well as the door jambs. Only the rear door jambs were done. My original car color was silver so the original color areas that are exposed don't stand out. There is some bubbling...

Interior Nitpicking (Headliner & Center Screen Trim)

This is still present, though. I noticed it at the rear pointed portion near the hatchback. With the back open, there is a little leeway to be able to push it in a little bit. I'm not sure if this is the same area you're talking about though. My trunk was a little misaligned as well but this...

Introducing the Frozen Grey Tesla with shadowline trim

The company had a July 4th special and it was about $2300 for the wrap. I think regularly around $2600 or $2700. Probably around 4-5 years depending on where it is stored. I also think it depends on the material. Yeah, agree. I'll probably get the wheels powdercoated black or dark grey in...

Introducing the Frozen Grey Tesla with shadowline trim

I'll take some pics and post. There are both "good" and "bad" areas but I'll post both. No problem. I haven't had the car long enough but I'm thinking that the wrap on the body itself will help to insulate and keep the handles cooler to the touch. The door handles on my car are actually just...
