Because you can't install FSD aftermarket and an aftermarket trailer hitch which does the same job will save you over 1000 which you can spend elsewhere.

I know there's a setting where it turns on when it doesn't detect any drivers ahead and turns them off when it sees a car.

Using a pry tool, basically a plastic lever, I would start in the upper right quadrant and work your way around. It's pretty easy to do but I can see that removing on and off a lot would cause the tabs to break eventually. Perhaps a magnetic mod would be best.
