Update: got black screen today, so it's not fixed; better, but not fixed. 12 days since last black screen. Car was drivable with black screen.

1) yes, I have this as well. Clearing cache and uninstalling didn't help. I asked the mobile tech about it and he said it's a problem at their end.

Happened to me today, was streaming music from my phone when I got a text and everything went silent. No sound from the blinkers either.. Fixed it by getting out of the car and walking away until I heard the horn honk. Firmware version 2020.48.10.

Update: No problems with black screen so far. This is day 6 since the firmware was upgraded to 202.48.10; looking promising so far.

My Model Y had a pending update the day I picked it up (Nov 10). Since then I've had two more. It probably depends where you fall in the update cycle.

No issues for 7 days since I disconnected my 500GB Samsung T7 drive. But I also got firmware 44.25 5 days ago. I'll let it go a few more days then if I haven't seen the black screen I'll plug the drive in again and see if the black screen comes back.

Got this update the day I picked up my car (Nov 10). Have had the black screen issue (not waking up) 3 times so far. App can't connect, won't release the wall connector cord either, but the car will drive (as long as it wasn't plugged in). Restarting (hold both steering wheel buttons for 10 sec)...

I saw a video that showed the piano block bar (bottom of the charging pad) slides to the left. Maybe that does the trick? There are two USB ports that you can see when you lift the charging pad. If one of those is unused, maybe get a cable for the unused USB port?

Wonder if that will change when Giga Austin comes online. Will they have to ship the cars out of state and then back in to Texas buyers? Sigh...

Interesting. Austin SC told me I had to upload the insurance before it could enter Texas. They put pressure on me to get it done in two texts and 2 emails. Seems like they don't really know how the process works.

Ordered MY white/black no options on 9/18. Born 10/16. At railyard in Milpitas 10/18. Finally got to Memphis 11/3, waiting for truck to Austin TX. Delivery was initially set to 11/1, 11/3, 11/6, then pushed to 11/11. Takes a long time to get to Austin TX.

I was scheduled to pick up my Y LR 11/6. Today I got a call saying the car is still at their Memphis hub, so they pushed delivery to Nov 11. Will be almost 4 weeks from when the car was produced to when it gets delivered. Hopefully there won't be any damage that causes more delay.

Before you take delivery, get an estimate from CarMax. The estimate will be good for 7 days, so get the estimate a day or two before delivery. That gives you an option in case the Tesla offer comes in lower.

Congrats! The delivery team told me yesterday that my Y was on the train on the way to Nashville. They couldn't say how close to Nashville it was. Seems strange it goes to TN then back to TX.

My VIN is MF063XXX and was born 10/16/2020. It's only 6 days old. The VIN will change rapidly if they are building 2000/wk or more.

Seems like that's a 2021. Does it have an "L" or an "M" in the VIN (e.g. xxE4MF06xxxx? If it has an "M", that's a 2021.

Cars are built in batches then your order is matched to a car in that batch. Not sure where the match occurs (at the factory before shipping?) No idea what "eligible" means. Maybe all the steps are complete, drivers licenses uploaded, verified etc.
