Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
The other day I was driving through Walkertown and I saw something I'd never seen before....ever. Instead of a Sheetz being built, one was being TORN DOWN. Now, this is a Sheetz that I've used a myriad times because it's between home and work, so I was pretty surprised. A little bit of...
Hey....I haven't visited a Supercharger in a while, but is there any way to confirm this was applied? I have been looking around in the app and in my account for some evidence of this, but have yet to find it. Maybe I'm not looking in the right spot? Or maybe I just have to go plug in at a...
I’ve had XM for a lot of years...so I’ll be bummed if I can’t have it on my M3P. However, since the car can stream stuff...could the SiriusXM App not be used?
I guess access to information changes a bit once you have the car...but this seems like something that would be easy for them to have in your Tesla Account.
I’m hoping to get a few for Christmas (my family gets mad when I just buy stuff this time of year)....so I haven’t been picking up a lot of stuff just yet. Wonder if Abstract Ocean has After Christmas sales. Lol
Taking delivery of my car on Saturday. I won’t bother asking my SA as he’s been close to utterly useless this entire time. I’ll talk to the Delivery People on Saturday and see what they say. But free supercharging all next year would be awesome....and would certainly make me want to do some road...
A Winston supercharger makes sense. It’s a good sized city and it’s right on a major interstate. That said...I wouldn’t mind it being a little bit east over in Kernersville...but that might be too close to the GSO one.
That stinks...but I know the feeling. When I spoke to the guy at the store, he was like...."So since you'll be outside your window, if you don't make this date...we'll unpair you from the car and give it to someone else."
Which is sort of BS....but you can be dang sure I'll be there on the 19th!
Got the text and set up delivery! They wanted 12/14-12/16...but I had to push out to 12/19. It’s a 1.5hr drive to the store and I couldn’t swing a weekday delivery. But I’ll have my car soon!
I visited this site over Thanksgiving as well...and it was nearly empty when I was there. Don't have my car yet, so I can't speak to speeds or anything, but there were was a White Model Y and a Bronze Model S there that I saw. But I can confirm that the Harris Teeter is as close as...
My window changed again....now 11/25 to 12/19...so really any time now. But...in related news, the Long Range guys are starting to get VINs (even the California guys) so that ought to mean we’ll start getting ours in the near future.
My SA (or his colleagues) never says anything about the dates. Only that Tesla will contact me when it’s time....
Really wish he’d tell me something. Current window is 11/24-11/28. Been getting smaller since 11/21.
Just curious....did you have to do permitting and inspection for your installation? Got a ballpark quote yesterday and I'm trying to figure out if the guy was putting me on to jack the price up?
I run XP12 Front and XP10 Rear on my ICE Track Car....but it's not nearly as heavy as a Model 3. Love both CarboTech and GLoc...know the folks at both companies and am glad to support a pair of NC companies. Anyway....like others have said, for a car this heavy...the XP20/XP12 combo is probably...
I can't help but wonder what the reason is that Tesla is dragging their feet on this one. It's not like CCS came out of no where or something. Of course, it's entirely possible that they're following the Apple Business Model and trying to keep EVERYTHING vertically integrated...ie they don't...
Called the Store I’ve been dealing with and they had no additional information for me. Seems like a company like Tesla would be able to assign you to a VIN within a day or so of the order being placed and then let you track progress....ie, Your car is in Paint! Or Your car is on the Assembly...
I've spoken to my Sales guys twice since I ordered and all he seemed to be able to tell me was that when Tesla contacted me, to make sure I called him. Was really hoping to take the car on a Thanksgiving Road Trip....but I've pretty much given up on that at this point. Just hoping to see it...
The volume of people receiving VINs for the SR+ seems to be starting to increase over in the other thread. Hopefully that will translate into us starting to see some progress soon....
Seeing a bunch of our Canadian friends reporting that they’re getting VINs over in the SR+ thread. And we’ve seen several YouTube videos from the States now....so maybe we’re in the home stretch. Maybe that’s me just being optimistic though...
My Cayman S was black...and despite loving the car, it being black was a nightmare. For the 30-45 seconds that it was clean....it looked amazing, but after that you saw ever spec of dirt and dust that landed on it. Within what felt like 5 minutes, it was just as dirty as it was before it was...
That’s basically what I read, that they work their way up the ladder....though I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Maybe the P3D’s are still inside the factory getting finished up.... right? Lol
Based on the wheels...all of those in the pictures were SR+'s that hadn't had their aero wheel covers put on yet. Hope they start churning out the Performance 3's soon!
