It’s not that they’re necessary. I get that. It’s the inconsistent application that annoys. It’s barely misting and they’re on full blast. Or it’s pouring and they’re at level one.

I took delivery today myself. I looked it over pretty good, and I couldn’t find any problems. Also, so much easier to buy a car from Tesla than a traditional dealer.

I’m starting to lean in that direction too. I essentially ordered in early October. They gave me one day in mid December as a delivery option, and I’m working that day. If they don’t have a sense of urgency, I guess I don’t have to have one either. I can be very patient.

Finally got assigned a VIN today. No delivery date yet, though. Ordered 9/29, but changed to white interior 10/17. I’m in LA (lower Alabama for the unenlightened) so I’ll be picking up in ATL when the time comes. M3P, blue/white

Blue/white M3P Ordered 9/29 Given 2020 VIN but declined My order never updated, so I went to the "hidden" design edit page and "re-ordered" it so to speak on 10/17. Expected delivery 11/3-12/1 (this hasn't changed from the original order date).

I had a 2020 VIN but got it unassigned. My account didn’t register the new 2021 build until I went to the hidden design edit page and updated it a couple days ago. Didn’t change the expected delivery of 11/3-12/1, thankfully.

2020 Initial Quality Study (IQS) While I’m certainly no authority, there is at least some data out there, and it’s not great on Tesla’s part. That being said, I’ve got an M3P on order and won’t be handing my money over to them until I thoroughly check the car for defects.

Someone finally texted me. Requested delayed delivery 12/1 or later, which the DA agreed to. VIN was unassigned from my account. Fingers crossed the next one is a 2021 refresh and no more waiting.
