Sounds like my list. The 0-60 is out of this world but in order to justify $200K I'm going to need to be able to actually use that performance, including being legal on drag strip and being able to put down laps at Laguna Seca.

Same here. I'm looking forward to downsize both in vehicle size and the number of needed garage spots. S + Corvette = new Roadster, with my spouse having the 3.

I'm also waiting for SR+PUP but will need to consider LR if it's looking like delivery before 9/30 won't happen. Still feeling optimistic with the "Early 2018" status in the delivery estimator.

@wraithnot - Thanks for the comparison pictures. Are the colors different? The 3 looks more gray and the S looks more yellow/tan. Is that right? My 2013 S has the same tan cloth. It is difficult to clean.

Received an email from an Inside Sales Advisor saying that we could "start the delivery process" but they've been unreachable by phone and neither of my reservations are configurable via MyTesla. We'll see what happens next... I just hope that there's no bug with my account that will affect the...

Thanks for sharing. That's too bad about the lack of fan speed control via the scroll button. I'm one of those people who are super picky about the temperature and wind speed of the cabin conditioning - I use the right scroll to control fan speed constantly on my S.

Still haven't got an invite and can't configure through MyTesla (CA owner + line waiter). I called and a very helpful person said he would escalate to Production Management and get back to me in 48h or so.

Agree that the statement is fishy. Being asked to configure and then deferring shouldn't put you ahead of people who have had SR/AWD selected the whole time, but who might otherwise be ahead of you. I'm a CA owner who waited in line and who has had SR selected since the beginning. I still...

I'm in the same boat. I love my MS except for its size. I haven't tried AP but it does seem awesome. I've decided to sit tight and wait on the 3 until I get a chance to drive one and the options I want are available.

I'm happy with the Targa roof, too. No power folding keeps the weight down while still allowing for open-top cruising and is still track-legal. I love my soft top Corvette, but it's frustrating to not be able to do any HPDE / Laguna Seca / Willow Springs tracking. I may end up installing a roll bar.

The Corvette, too (with sales of 30K+/yr). I'd also prefer only two seats, though someone mentioned insurance should be a lot cheaper? Is that really true? In any case, I expect that I'll have the rear seats folded down all the time.

Ditto. My July 2013 Model S doesn't have AP - it doesn't even have parking sensors or folding mirrors. But I'd loved it every single time I've driven it, for 41K miles now. I'm sure AP2 is awesome, but I wouldn't have wanted to wait three years without my S to get it.

In any case, the referral page doesn't link to the Roadster reservation (nor the Model 3, for that matter) and I don't think there's a way to enter a referral code when making the deposit.

Totally. It may not need the awesome styling of a Lamborghini (the Centenario takes my breath away) for air flow, but I wish it was more exotic (even at the cost of range). Particularly the rear-end, which to me looks kind of everyday Porsche-ish.
