Your last sentence sum up my thinking. I came here from google search and found good info on investor forum but sometime moderators are involved too much or feels like control and opinion orientated for each comments slightly against EV or Tesla. In fact reduce my participation and won't...

    Model S Accident/Fire

now you are adding more for no reason.. all we want to know the details.. what kind of metallic object can create such damage to frunk with 5 star rating vehicle.. it is solid car all around.. (tesla will release but truth should come out no patch up) if not wrong model s was rated 5.5...

    Model S Accident/Fire

it is on the topic don't get panic. You can see they're focusing the fire extinguisher, around the front right wheel well right where the 12v aux battery.. it is old recall and fixed.

    Model S Accident/Fire

no adding fuel to fire but posted before or not (I am not sure) same problem with roadster

    Short-Term TSLA Price Movements - 2013

Okay worst time to hit with bad news because Obama warns wall street to prepare for disaster since he is not going to negotiate with Congress. BTW: Congress or say GOP acting like a devil (terrorist:redface: to be precise) to inflict wound way dipper compare to 2008. a

    Short-Term TSLA Price Movements - 2013

no company will say to public that our car is not 100% safe even if we have 5 star rating... it is naked truth for any vehicle of any type..
  10. F

Went for a test drive- WOW!

I felt the opposite i.e. it is big not small by any angle. I like the car as all of us but like to have smaller tire size , overall size and total cost i.e. genIII or anything else available when I am in market

Elio motors next big thing in transportation

If they fulfill what they promise 36k/3 years warranty and engine last 100k & up it is winner all the way... no brainer because most of the time people take solo trip to work and other activities. You have second car for family trips as most of the current EV adapters.
  12. F

Elio motors next big thing in transportation

yeah I will be interested since they offer 36k/3 years industry standard warranty (not bad at all for 7k car) It has all the standard features you need for daily commute. It will be major hit with seniors for 5 star rating.
  13. F

19" and 21" Tire Wear (informal) Survey

Michelin website says 45k warranty, and they last close that but rotation is the key. Regardless replacing tires per 12k is pretty counter productive for having EV but that is totally different topic of discussion (better to avoid the nerves of model s buyer)
  14. F

    BMW i3

exactly...no need to compare every EV to tesla... wait a minute if you do that same people on the forum will start crying saying don't compare apple to orange or whatever... i3 or second generation leaf (nissan said they are in process) or VW 14 new models in 2014. It looks like consumers will...

i3 Driving Dynamics: What A Disappointment

I care about review from ordinary folks driving i3 compare to paid or unpaid journalist. - - - Updated - - - yeah I won't be surprised either to see better leaf in 2-3 years time i.e. more miles per charge and same price point (not comparing model S to leaf but maybe genIII let see)
  16. F

    NYU professor on TSLA valuation

he said FB won't be cold or hot and it proved that way... he might be wrong in predicting price point but overall prediction is spot on till date given IPO price was $38.. again time will tell he was wrong or right on FB and same of tesla.
  17. F

    NYU professor on TSLA valuation

same guy predicated about apple and fb correctly... sometime professores or outside can see the problem pretty well compare to blind sided investors

    Short-Term TSLA Price Movements - 2013

this pattern is pretty similar... next day rebound same %
  19. F

Would you have bought your Model S if it wasn't electric?

I keep saying the same to many people who argue but don't accept that eletric at his heart is the mantra for tesla success otherwise you have plenty of luxury cars in market. BTW: tesla model s interior is not superior to many luxury car maker but other topic of discussion.
  20. F

    False BMW claims

wait till it is release in US and people can drive it but I am not very impress with price/range ratio. If leaf can add 25 miles i3 is in trouble (20k for 80 not bad but 25k for 100 even better)
  21. F

Car delivered yesterday, died 10 times today, stranding my family.

yeah I agree that everyone is not in the game of stock and on this forum if you are not in game then you are the most idiot person on earth or stupid (as if everyone who invested in tesla was born genius...:cursing:) one of the reason might the heat of TX but I am not car expert by long shot. I...

Elio motors next big thing in transportation

http://www.eliomotors.com/my-strengths/ Elio Motors: Join the Revolution - YouTube I can't imagine 49 city and 84 high way for $7000 with 5 star rating. It is perfect for city car for single/senior/married couple and small family who don't take many trips together and has back up vehicle. It...

    Competiton is coming?!?

You are comparing again EV to hybrid. i3 is pure EV which ranges 80 to 100/125 miles on battery without any kind of ICE engine. Volt has ONLY 38 miles on battery (if you don't drive 38 miles of more on daily commute it won't use ICE ever...only in maintenance mode it will run ICE engine.. now...
  24. F

    Competiton is coming?!?

Volt is not EV but hybrid car. It runs around 30 to 40 miles on battery (around 38 miles) after that it is ICE. i3 is pure EV (without RXE) goes around 80 to 120 miles. i3 can be compare with pure EV like leaf & spark ev. i3 has second model with range extender, which uses ICE as generator to...

    BMW i3

I think BMW miss the shot at capturing price point and mileage ration i.e. $35k for 150 miles. I was hoping for $35k before tax rebate or less...$27k for 80 to 100 miles looks good. If nissan make improvement in leaf battery cooling side and add few miles in coming year it will be really...

    BMW i3

if you are buying 30k to 40k cars better spend 40 minutes to educate yourself. Again, many people surprise us by buying TV set from sears.com, where same is available $200 to $500 less at bestbuy.com BTW: found pretty cool three wheels elio cars for $6800 price and 1000 people on waiting list...
  27. F

    BMW i3

Still you can't compare with volt because i3 goes 90 to 125 miles on battery... don't think it is comparable on pure EV version... I am not getting into extender discussion because I am not interested in hybrid of any sort...
  28. F

    BMW i3

You can't compare i3 with any of the hybrid out there that includes volt
  29. F

    BMW i3

you nail down pretty well and BMW engineers are smart enough  to figure out when to kick in generator, so motor provide constant 130kw for extra 90 to 100 miles (whatever that number is). if that happens you are getting same EV experience without hybrid non-sense. I want to know the...
  30. F

    BMW i3

Exactly, not everyone wants 70k to 100k EV (ah luxury ev or whatever you want to call for model s). I think 90 to 125 range is pretty good for US driver on daily commute. You need more range extender option sounds great but need more details before commenting. I like the production pictures...
  31. F

    BMW i

I thought i platform stand for electric only but it is hybrid with long range but that's not going to work against model S for sure. http://www.bmw-i.com/en_ww/bmw-i8/ checkout the video at the bottom of the page for details

    Short-Term TSLA Price Movements - 2013

that's what I am saying. Even chargers don't have to be free because I am going to pay something at home charging (so same rate or more discount will do the trick) If you are buying expensive EV version they can include FREE charging for life deal (give them a card or something...don't want to...

Anti Tesla Guy on Twitter, Boycott Tesla Site, and the "Solyndramobile"

Everybody hate gas price and ICE cost associated with that. If you want to argue with anyone have balance approach but sometime people has own agenda. EV is future & looks promising (or something in the mix) but telling Tesla is ONLY option will be too soon (gen3 will change that argument) I...
  35. F

    Short-Term TSLA Price Movements - 2013

I agree with first assessment but later one is weak meaning they can install their own chargers (even two per gas station if EV become very common and % goes up against ICE) In future gas station will be hybrid station
  36. F

    BMW i

It will be nice to see more info & reviews. I am more interested in picture of interior cabin tech, second door & seat folding etc)
  37. F

    BMW i

@EVNow, How is your experience with leaf for two years (your signature says that) Do you have to plugin everyday or nissan says you shouldn't etc? any free or paid chargers available apart from your home charger on the road trip?
  38. F

    BMW i

I don't the front bumper style compare to many concept models (all of them has pretty cool shape) man they need to do something with tire that looks pretty ordinary for BMW but hoping final details on july 29th will explain why they are tall etc...
  39. F

    BMW i

I think 90 to 110 range (hot weather like AZ take out 10-15 miles) are enough for daily commute. If range extender cost $2k (extend 100k more and give me good milage is win-win situation for daily city commute) anyone has more pictures but july 29th is not far away to get all the details..
  40. F

    Infiniti LE

I agree with you on leaf price and range (too bad for hot weather but they will address the issue in next upgrade). You don't want to pay additional 50k for 100 miles of range (60kwh models give you around 200 miles). I think 80 to 95 is ideal range for daily commute (heck many goes below that)...
  41. F

    Short-Term TSLA Price Movements - 2013

Depend on person but someone said you don't have to invest in 10 companies to make your portfolio look diverse but focus on one sector can yield great results... again stock market makes intelligent foolish sometime...
  42. F

Tesla Model X versus BMW X6

I think front need some changes before going into production and also check the height of garage
  43. F

12V battery issues (error messages/car charging problems)

this is not very encouraging since they do all kind of testing before handing car to customer.... one should ask them directly why it is not fixed (if it is known problem for so long)... I am sure by gen3 come out they will iron out most of the battery related problems.
  44. F

    BMW i

I think people are aware of EV long ago but price and practicality lagging. Also i3 comes from known brand, and affordability makes pretty compelling argument (range extender is not hybrid but really good solution)
  45. F

Negative Camber in the Rear and Expensive Tires

really summer tire last 10k or less (someone is racing on the road) michelin tires (pilot sport ultra high performance) summer tire has 20k warranty and one of my friend got above 30k. I am not sure what stock tires tesla install (maybe goodyear & they are pretty good too)... if tire last you...
  46. F

Negative Camber in the Rear and Expensive Tires

wow in such short miles you can worn out tire at this level. I know most of the $20k cars are install with bridgestone (lower grade 30k miles warranty) tires. Heck you never do rotation before 7,500 miles on most of the cars (old or new)
  47. F

Nissan to install charging station at dealership

Still I want official link not another forum link (just like this forum is not official one and info posted by users)
  48. F

    Short-Term TSLA Price Movements - 2013

current stock price not sure what to make out it. I think current price should be future price but again wall street logic and definition goes out of window.
  49. F

Nissan to install charging station at dealership

@gaswalla it is additional place to charge your EV just like tesla offers.. you can't compare leaf to model s (mainly for battery capacity and price) you are telling ev owner not to charge battery otherwise you will damage it... any link to the article publish by nissan says that... interested...
  50. F

    BMW i

Your roadster cost lot more compare to i3. It is comparable to leaf, volt and spark EV. i3 has some years to improve range from 100 to 200 or more by the time gen3 come out. You should compare it with i8 when it come out
