Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
I know there’s a bunch of work being done at Target as well. Perhaps the workers are parking at there while doing their work at night? That should be easy to report to the Target management. Thanks for posting about it here, @ka9q! Safe travels!
I’ll have to swing by a few times this week and check on that. I’ve never seen this station ICED, especially with it being so far in the back of the shopping center, maybe a group decided to make a statement or something? 🤷🏽♂️
If I see a pattern I’ll definitely try to report it
Transformer was put in yesterday (Thursday) so hopefully not much longer before final checks and the switch is flipped.
Will be checking at least every other day for the next week or two and will post updates as they happen.
Today they are working on rapidly paving Froom Ranch Way and will likely have it reopened within the next few days. It looks like the extension and connection to the new bridge will come later as the new development progresses further.
Do you have a guess as to where it would be located?
I also wonder if/how much the timing is dependent on the progress of the roadway improvements/extension next door?
Swung by again tonight for some more scouting. There were still two guys working at 6:40pm on wiring some of the stalls.
They’ve completed the landscaping, including some new plants in front of the cabinets. The fencing has been removed within the last 5 days, but the conduit ditches haven’t...
When the neighboring San Luis Ranch development is complete, it will include several miles of walking/biking trails and park space, providing great leg stretching/relaxing opportunities for both Tesla owners and their furry companions.
Added to the trails at the Madonna in serving the Madonna...
As @Opa H mentioned, they are also working on extending Froom Ranch Way to connect through to the new San Luis Ranch community development, along with street improvements and installation of Utilities.
The East (rear) entrance to the shopping center nearest the new Supercharger is preexisting...
I would guess, given the speed of construction and permitting that, barring any delays by PG&E, this location should be online within the next month.
I did happen to run into a PG&E meter guy on my way out who was working on other projects and he said he hasn’t been assigned anything, but that...
I stopped by today, and while I couldn’t get many great photos, I got a few. The construction crew were actively working and when they spotted me one of them got upset and two of them went to get another panel to completely close up the work area.
From what I could see from a quick...
I will post pictures tomorrow early afternoon if someone doesn’t beat me to it.
I would also guess that the SLO City Center location is going to be in the city center garage across from the movie theater and central mall complex. There is already a Chargepoint station there, so an Urban...
Lot of work going on today. Multiple crews finishing asphalt and digging holes in the intersection to connect to power.
Crew working around the stalls said they were waiting on the digging crew to finish before they could move forward with connecting things up. Seemed to be frustrated with how...
Just stopped by and it’s not turned on yet. Looks great though, one of the larger installs I’ve seen, and there’s a decent number of food/shopping places nearby to keep people busy for the 15-35 minutes they’ll spend charging here. In addition, due to the size of the parking lot in relation to...
