Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
That should be Parking Lot, not Parking Lock. This morning the "available spaces" at this supercharger is now correct. They marked as occupied those superchargers that are blocked off by the repaving. They also have traffic guards to direct Teslas to the right location.
After reading the other postings about superchargers on the Island. I guess that I am wrong. These are high speed Destination Chargers, but not superchargers.
The last time I was there the shuttle driver specifically said that the car rental place is owned by Ellison. It is also the islands only gasoline station with the gasoline subsidized, so it is also the lowest price gasoline station in the whole state of Hawaii. There are other diesel stations...
The Pomenade at Westlake, the mall where this supercharger is located, is having extensive repaving of the parking lock now. About half of the spaces are blocked off because of this repaving. The reported numbers of available spaces is incorrect now.
I had a situation a few days ago when my Tesla simply shut down completely, and could not be restarted while I was driving. This was last Thursday during the ATT outage. Fortunately I was able to restart the car enough to park it in a safe parking space. I then was able to go to an adjacent...
I apologize if this is inappropriate for this forum. The Promenade at Westlake, where this supercharger is located, outdid themselves this year with Christmas lights. Even if you don't need a charge it is a nice place to visit just to walk around.
I should have added that the Tesla's used by the two Four Seasons on Lanai as guest shuttles don't have FSD. I had a long conversation about FSD with the Tesla driver.
I tried to visit and take pictures of the Lanai Supercharger. I was not successful.
I just came back from Lanai. Unfortunately I had an arm cast so I couldn't spend time at the beach or the pool. So I spent a lot of time walking and exploring the island.
When I asked the hotel staff at the...
I have another question: The four charging stations set apart from the others should have been numbered, 11A thru 11D. But they are left blank without any number marking at all. Any reason why?
Earlier yesterday I saw a black Tesla parked in spot 3A, unplugged, with a large note on the windshield. The note said words to the effect of: Please don't tow. Tesla won't run. Tesla will pick car up soon. And the guy's first name and phone number. I also noted on my dashboard display that it...
Well the day after I made the posting I received an email from Tesla customer service asking me for photos to demonstrate the errors with the Tesla SSD. I took pictures of the display screen, and they stated that they will send me a new SSD upon receipt of the old one.
I purchased the Tesla USB SSD from the Tesla online shop two months ago. My Tesla no longer recognizes the drive. My Tesla will format the drive, but half the time says the format failed. Even if it says that the format is a success the "X" still appears next to the dash cam icon. This happens...
The location is now open. The signs are still there stating that the chargers are unavailable; however, the chargers are working now. The Tesla Dash map shows that the charger spaces are available.
Right now I am charging at the recently reopened supercharger location. The signs are still posted at the shopping center that supercharging is not available. However, the Tesla dash map shows that several supercharging spots are available. I am currently charging at 50 kW.
Check the tail end of this thread: Supercharger - Thousand Oaks, CA - East Thousand Oaks Blvd (closed for repairs Apr 2021)
Basically on April 28 a cement truck veered off the US 101 Northbound Westlake Blvd offramp into the SCE and Tesla transformers for this Supercharger as well as an SCE...
A day after the accident that caused the closure of the Supercharger site I did see a crane replacing at least one of the green transformer boxes that is SCE equipment, so some work has actually been done.
I drove by the site again today. I approached from the south. It looks like a car veered off the off ramp south of the charger and broke the fence and knocked over three of the white charger boxes. Also the green transformer was replaced yesterday. The three dented charger boxes are still there.
Here is another photo of the Electrify America chargers adjacent to the Supercharger site.
I wonder why there are 4 Electrify America charging spaces and four charging stands with dual charging cables. Three of the dual chargers have two CCS plugs each (the three shown in my photo). The one...
