Tesla loaner agreement sign request prior to collecting car.

I normally video the outside of the car for reference in case a problem is raised by Tesla after its return. Also be aware that Tesla only cover their loaner under 3rd party so you will be liable for any damage to the vehicle. At least that was my understanding from last year.

Well, updated last night and found this morning that the sentry cam no longer works. I guess they will send another quick update to fix this :(

Tesla loaner only covered third party F&T

Just tried getting a quote from insurance4carhire and they told me that they will only provide cover for rentals from a car hire company. :(

Tesla loaner only covered third party F&T

I did try Adrian Flux my current insurer along with a selection of other brokers specialising in temporary cover. Non were interested I'm afraid. Just found this older thread as it appears to have been raised before...

Tesla loaner only covered third party F&T

I guess you are all aware of this but when I received my loaner Tesla, I discovered their fleet cars are only covered third party fire and theft. Also, the excess is £2500 maximum if you are involved in an accident. Is this new to anyone else?

Just to add, If indicating just a you receive an incoming call you cannot answer the call until the indicator is cancelled. The blind spot image is clearly wrongly placed. 🤬

    Autopilot draws first blood

I only use Autopilot on the motorway when traversing between junctions. Even then cautiously. Even in the fast lane and moving to the middle lane with no other cars present but a lorry parallel to me in the slow lane the car goes crazy trying to avoid a phantom collision. I always wait now till...

    Insurance renewal

I'm 66 and drive a M3P. My quote is £800 and I've not had an accident for over 30 years. Sometimes it beggars belief as to how the arrive by the numbers. I must live in a bad area despite the car being ultra difficult to steal.

Features we would like to see

I would like the ability to use ones own Wi-Fi connection using a Mi-Fi router permanently placed in the car. Yes I'm aware that this can be done easily and have been doing this for a few years now but the car defaults back to LTE, so you have to manually connect to your router ever time you...

    Walk away locking not working

Apparently the app needs to be running in the background for the walk away lock and approach unlock to work correctly. At least mine now works following this rule.

Phone walk away locking now working

I have been having problems with my Android phone randomly not providing a walk away lock and approach unlock on my M3P for some months. Now it seems to work every time even with the app NOT running in the background, which had been recommended as a solution. I presume a fix has been applied...

Tesla to launch Full Self Driving beta to select drivers next week

I believe FSD has gone almost as far as it can giving the British road system coupled with UK driving regulations. The FSD roadmap has always been biased to USA driving with long freeways, large roundabouts and junctions. Although I have FSD I'm not holding out much hope for any major...

    Repair visit to Tesla, Birmingham

The strange thing is even after I explained to them it was just a 3rd party gasket the service team still insisted that the work needed doing. When I arrived home I removed the loose gasket and ordered a replacement off eBay for £8. Lesson learned I think :)

    Repair visit to Tesla, Birmingham

I have a second owner model 3 registered September 19 which I have owned for 2 weeks. On my journey home following its purchase, I noticed a gasket surrounding the sun roof above my head had unseated at the front near the windscreen and was flapping in the wind. Unknown to me until today this...
