Finally Finished: Model Y Charging in Underground Condo Garage

I shared privately as well but for those in the Seattle area, Titan Electric did my install and I'm very happy with their work and their initial quote compared to the others I got.

Finally Finished: Model Y Charging in Underground Condo Garage

I like my spot, it's a former handicap spot (from when this place had unrestricted parking) that has no cars around it and is pretty much right next to to the elevator. This same spot a floor above is actually smaller too, so I think it's the best spot in the building. I could have traded for...

Finally Finished: Model Y Charging in Underground Condo Garage

This would have required separate conduit (and therefore another hole drilled) due to electrical code, the low voltage and high voltage cables have to be separated. Plus there's no real place I could have connected the Ethernet to Internet service on the 1st floor Yes, I can send you a Google...

Finally Finished: Model Y Charging in Underground Condo Garage

Here's some photos of the DCC-9 (my meter was on the bottom so it was easy to install) and the conduit coming from the electrical room and down into the garage. My bid sheet tells me it's 3/4" conduit with 8 gauge. I don't know the exact length of the run, but the estimate was ~200 ft...

Finally Finished: Model Y Charging in Underground Condo Garage

One of the best things about this spot was that it's next to a wall and the elevator shaft, so there's no one actually right next to me and no chance of door dings :) Though, I did ask about pulling more wires through the conduit (so I could charge someone else to pull their own wire through my...

Finally Finished: Model Y Charging in Underground Condo Garage

Absolutely, with new buildings this should be a requirement in my state. But, WA doesn't even have a right-to-charge law, so the HOA would have technically been in their rights to deny the installation if they wanted to, and I could definitely see some HOAs doing that. Allowing retrofits and...

Finally Finished: Model Y Charging in Underground Condo Garage

Thanks for taking a look everyone and all the positive feedback! It definitely isn't a project for everyone, but I'd rather have this than a renovated bathroom :) I'll probably do that, the cable does get warm but nowhere near uncomfortably so, but I should definitely make the loops bigger...

Finally Finished: Model Y Charging in Underground Condo Garage

After 2 months with my Y (and two years previously of another EV), I finally finished my project to install a charger in my underground condo garage. This has been quite a project, from initially proposing the charger to the HOA to getting it installed. Summary: - ~800' total of wire, some...

    Supercharger - Bellevue, WA

Definitely still closed and it's showing as such on the map. However, it looks done, just with the bubble wrap on the connectors.

    Supercharger - Bellevue, WA

It isn't today, but I can also confirm there are ticket stations being installed, so it will be.

How is the rear hatch supposed to be aligned

Mine is ever so slightly inset, but I never really noticed it as an issue. I'd still guess it was supposed to be flush, but if it was pushed out further to be flush, the gap at the top of the hatch where the glass is would be too big. You can see mine here.

Supercharging a brand new car (it is temporarily free?)

I picked up my car on May 28th, and I've had a credit card in my account since delivery. I supercharged the same day to make sure it was working, 2 days later on a road trip (twice) and wasn't charged for any of them. I supercharged again on 6/19 and was charged for that one.

    Supercharger - Bellevue, WA

Not much progress. Silly iPhone didn’t rotate the photos correctly, will have to fix when I get home.

    PNW Delivery?

The Monroney does actually list $41k base w/ a $11k LR AWD option. Based on this, I think I will contest the RTA tax amount and see what happens. Worst case, they say no and I'm paying what I already am paying now.

    PNW Delivery?

For anyone following my story, they called me *12 minutes* before my appointment to tell me they have additional things and wanted to postpone delivery. I asked whether I could see the issues, but didn't get an update from them for a while, so I went into the SC to speak to someone in person...

    PNW Delivery?

More fun! Apparently it's a minor scratch *inside* the rear tailgate on the paint, so they're sending me photos and I have the option of either taking delivery and then letting them fix later, or waiting for them to fix it. Waiting for the photo to make the call, but it's a non-functional issue...

    PNW Delivery?

My car got there but didn't pass inspection, so I have no delivery date now at all. :/

    PNW Delivery?

My own story continues as well... Without letting me know, they changed my delivery to a home delivery (so, had I not checked the website, I would have shown up at the service center and there would have been no car). The issue with home delivery is that the car is still in transit (I just...

    PNW Delivery?

Mine is listed as $583 currently. I'll see if I can get in touch with them. EDIT: Is there any evidence that the RTA tax should be based on the $41k base MSRP? Looking at the RTA values for Tesla Model 3s, each level (SR, LR AWD, Performance) have separate MSRPs. I believe Model 3s are coded...

    PNW Delivery?

Sounds like maybe ours are on the same truck ;) What was your RTA discrepancy? Mine didn't change in between the initial estimate and the MVPA, but then again, I don't know the math behind calculating it anyways.

    PNW Delivery?

Sadly, the had to delay the appointment until Thursday. They called me on Sunday and told me the car wasn't in WA yet, and when I called back the next day, they told me it had *just* been put on the truck on Monday morning and would probably arrive Wednesday. Hopefully it'll actually be ready by...

    Tesmanian Model Y Floor Mats

Just got mine in today, and I previously had 3D Maxpider mats for my i3. No doubt the Maxpider mats are higher quality material. The Tesmanian mats are a flexible hard-ish plastic with a little texture (a Rubbermaid bin actually isn’t a bad analogy), unlike the multi-layer design that the...

Did you get any storage box for Model Y?

I ended up ordering the Amazon Basics organizer (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TTN59ZW). The expandable version is 36.5", and the rear trunk theoretically measures 37" wide. We'll see how it is on Tuesday.

Did you get any storage box for Model Y?

How snug is it in the rear? From someone else's measurements, the rear cargo area flat floor (not counting cubbies/etc.) is ~37" wide

    PNW Delivery?

Thanks! Seems like the the 8-12 week timeframe for current orders means that they're delivering them significantly sooner for existing orders.

    PNW Delivery?

I *just* got my delivery appointment for next Monday (AWD/MSM/19"/autopilot) in Bellevue! VIN is now showing on the website (same as in the source code), but no MVPA. I was notified via text message.

    PNW Delivery?

I have a MSM/Black int./19"/autopilot order with a VIN 60xx in the source code (been there for a couple days), Bellevue WA. I haven't been contacted by anyone yet and I don't have an MVPA

Model Y is Coming! Delivery 5/19

I fully expect to receive a AWD car, but it would be interesting if Tesla built the Ys from the beginning with the same parts as the P and if we could software unlock the full performance acceleration in the future...

Model Y is Coming! Delivery 5/19

I also have AWD MSM 19", no FSD, no hitch, and a VIN appeared in the source code this morning. 60xx, with an F in the 8th position (indicating "performance" like that other thread). I'm in Bellevue, WA.
